Triostat (liothyronine sodium) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Triostat (liothyronine sodium)

Racing heart at high doses, didn't happen often.

Less fatigue, increased mental clarity, no more feeling like my throat is sticking together.

TRIOSTAT (LIOTHYRONINE SODIUM): Liothyronine is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). It replaces or provides more thyroid hormone, which is normally made by the thyroid gland. Liothyronine is a man-made form of thyroid hormone. Low thyroid hormone levels can occur naturally or when the thyroid gland is injured by radiation/medications or removed by surgery. Having enough thyroid hormone helps you stay healthy. For children, having enough thyroid hormone helps them grow and learn normally. This medication is also used to treat other types of thyroid problems (such as certain types of goiters, thyroid cancer). It can also be used to test for certain types of thyroid disease. This medication should not be used to treat infertility unless it is caused by low thyroid hormone levels. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Still too early to tell if it helps but I am already fairly convinced that it causes weight gain which is not listed as a side effect. Anyone else have this experience?

After 5 years use start to give me paradoxical effects ..Now im living the hell.My life is gone...

Numbness tingling weak muscles legs, hand, arm blurry vision

Tiredness at first and feeling of a thick head.

Severe migraines, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, pulmonary fibrosis, no desire to eat, heart palpitations, unable to sleep

I overcame severe clinical depression years ago, and when I started micronor I thought I was spiraling downward. I began to lose hope that I'd ever live a normal life. I cry every night, feel restless and hopeless, not to mention there is zero intimacy in my marriage. My mom asked me if I'd made any changes lately, such as a new pill (she' a nurse) and thank god for her. I looked up micronor and depression and found this site. Thank everyone who rated this drug. I'm stopping this pill tonight. I also noted that many woman got this from planned parenthood, as I did. They need to seriously work on their provided information. If you've had any of these side effects, stop this pill ASAP!

Do your research before taking this Med.

The same as all others have listed.

I took Macrobid once before....I ended up with severe knee pain, left and right and it took about a year to subside. When I went for this scope, I had no UTI or any illness. I was concerned when the Dr. prescribed two doses of Macrobid....told the nurse after the procedure about my history with the knee pain with last dose. She said, that would have just been a coincidence in timing and not to be worried.I know my mom can't take Macrobid either. I would never recommend this drug to anyone. I am suffering so terribly. As far as I am concerned, I can't image why a drug like this is available.

Headaches, low sex drive, weight gain and depression
