DORYX (DOXYCYCLINE HYCLATE): This medication is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, including those that cause acne. This medication is also used to prevent malaria. This medication is known as a tetracycline antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. Do your research before deciding to take this drug. Especially for children. There are some very scary adverse reactions that have been found.

After the 3 week introduction period where the short term side effects wore off I began to experience severe high and low mood swings that were greater then when I was non medicated. Mood swifts were swift and sometimes occurred several times a day.

i tok this medicine months ago it was prescribed to me while i was at a psychiatry hospital and i have never been the same since. the first night of taking the drug i had extreme hallucinations and i was completely unaware about what was happening to me because i wasnt told about the side effects. the walls twisted and turned and i saw tracers(tracers are things that follow a moving object kind like an echo of it. about 7 months later i am still seeing the tracers and i have no idea why that i can still see them
I hate taking all this crap.. just because I am the type of person that will tell you that you are stupid, if you are doing something stupid. The youth nowadays .. have no respect and I say and do attempt to straighten there veiws on life.

Very focused mentally, slight high, and does provide pain relief. Eat psyllium daily so have no constipation problems. No negative side effects except for its high price.
Lowered BP about 10 pts initially. But after about a year on avalide have developed chest tightness within 10 minutes of moderate exercise, also my arms and hands are going to sleep at night 2 or 3 times a week.
