Dalmane (flurazepam hydrochloride) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Dalmane (flurazepam hydrochloride)

several hours of sleep, finally!

I had taken Flurazepam for decades when it was discontinued. Nothing else has ever worked. It has just returned with a new manufacturer, and it still works. I was able to have a prescription filled at Walgreens earlier this month. I hope that others who have been suffering will also find it soon!

If you use this med intermittently you won’t lose its effectiveness. Also I stopped for two months and no withdrawal at all. I get a good 7 hours if I wake up I can go back. It usually works for me another 4-5 nights before insomnia starts to come back. It’s also very cheap.

None, might as well be taking a Smartie.

Doesn't work. Still sleeping about 4 hours every 3 days

Little bit of drowsiness upon waking quickly dispelled with coffee

Helps me sleep well at night thanks to humanhealthonlinepharmacy.com

Slightly bitter taste the next day. Not bad.

Always had chronic insomnia. Dalmane has been a Godsend. One pillevery 3 or 4 days maximum is enough to let me sleep almost normally. Always have a hard time waking up in the morning so I can't blame the Dalmane for that. Has been a life and sanity saver.

no side effects except alittle sleepy when awaking but doesn't last

I have for years only taken periodically to avoid becoming dependent but decided to take it 3 nights in a row and got great sleep. I am going to try not taking it tonight. I love this product please don't take off the market. I am able to function so much better during the day. I have had insomnia for a long time. Wonderful to sleep all night.

I've had insomnia for many years. I used to take Ambien 10mg, but it stopped working after a while. I stopped taking it and tried Melatonin (10mg).My insomnia is so bad that I often sleep only every other day!My doctor asked me to try Trazodone 100mg (didn't work) and then Flurazepam 30mg (Didn't work). This is very frustrating.I do tend to metabolize medications quickly, however. What might knock someone else out or give them pain relief, will usually do nothing for me. I don't drink, smoke and have never taken recreational drugs. I just have a naturally high tolerance and likely the "First Pass Effect" which is why oral medications don't work well on me.

The DALMANE (Flurazepam) 30mg did absolutely NOTHING except for leave me with a terrible taste in my mouth for some reason.

Zero. Slight tiredness after 3rd day. Total relaxation in the a.m. No "hung over" or "drugged" feeling upon awakening. Long half-life so I take it for 3 days then skip 2 days. This helps with not building up more of a benzo tolerance.

Best sleep drug going. I suffer severe anxiety which keeps me up most nights. Ambien, Lunesta, Trazodone, Seroquel, Klonopin, even marijuana, all did nothing. I need something to shut my brain up. I also take 6mg's of Xanax daily. Only problem with Xanax is rebound anxiety every morning. Dalmane takes care of that. Dalmane is like taking a fist full of Valium b-4 bed. Thirty minutes after taking Dalmane it feels as if my mattress is a marshmellow which I'm sinking into, then I wake up 7-8 hours later fully refreshed. Long half-life which allows me to take it for 3 days then skip for 2 days, yet still feel the effects.

I couldn't wake up. Couldn't make any plans till 4 PM. Groggy, sedated, blurry vision, confusion.I became scared to drive as I wasn't ever fully awake.Attempts to stop this drug cased severe withdrawals.

I have tried for years to get off this drug. I have lowered the dose after slow but persistent tapering. It is an EXTREMELY unpleasant drug to taper from as it causes nasty withdrawals (panic attacks, re-bound insomnia, severe restlessness). This is a very additive benzo--please use with utmost caution. Do not suddenly stop this drug or allow yourself to be stitched over to another sleeping pill.It is an old benzo similar to Valium and has a very long half life (builds up in your system). The doctor who prescribed it had to not had any idea what it would do because it's that nasty of a drug.

None- but, very very addictive, its a Benzo! Do not take more frequent than a few times. After a wk or so of daily use you are ADDICTED even with just one pill aday.

Suffered trauma in my earyl 20's, lost marriage, job etc from insomnia. The only medication that worked was "dalmane". Later in life prescribed xanax and dalmane, bad combo! addiction big time! Bare in mind, I took the lowest dose of xanax and still got "tolerance" addiction!!!!! one pill a day, yep. Withdrawal was HELL. Read Benzo.org, Prof Ashton's info on benzo's. Please leave any benzo to "rare" use, only for those times when nothing will pull you out of days of insomnia.

A bit of morning grogginess, but otherwise, none.

Has helped somewhat with my disordered circadian rhythm issues (falling asleep at dawn and waking around 3pm). There's a bit of grogginess in the morning but not that bad. Was taking Restoril, and Dalmane definitely makes me feel sleepier, which helps. Overall, it's a good med. Cheap too!

Grogginess, dazed feeling in the morning.

After being hooked on Ambien, I decided to make a switch to something new after consulting my doc. I took 30mg of this last night and it was the first time in a year that I slept over 8 hours in a row without waking. Since I don't want to become dependent on another drug I will be limiting the amount I take of it. I con only hope it does not lose effectiveness over time.

This medication is an older one but works great without all the side effects. I have had no problems with it.

works great, sleep very well not all the side effects. like ambien cr

Not sur if it caused hair loss. Stop taking it to see, other than that it did work great.

It does take about 3 days to really start working. But after that it was really good less side effects.

Works great. Not a relaxant, your up one minute and asleep the next. Some nights it works better than others????

It has wotked fine. sleeping better. Don't forget everything. good so far.

Extremely dissatisfied, fast heart rate and tinnitus. Chest pain swollen tongue. Back ache, wheezing. This stuff is terrible, wouldn't advise anyone to take

This pill was not for me. My pharmacy ran out of my Blisolvi Fe 1/20 so in its place they gave me Micogestrin Fe 1/20 saying it was the same thing. They may have the same active ingredients but the inactive ingredients are different and I feel that's why I'm having the problems I'm experiencing. I'm going to go back to my Blisolvi that worked wonders on me.

Going to try traditional next time

Weight gain, hot flashes with profuse cold sweats, high blood pressure, knee weakness, extremeupper arm and elbow pain and weakness, urinary urgency, extreme pain in lower abdomen, diarrhea, loss of consciousness

Dry mouth fatigue - faded after a few days

Was placed on Zoloft after suicide attempt. Although side effects were minimal, I started having severe manic episodes after a few weeks -- driving 500 miles for no reason, not sleeping for days, etc. Eventually I was taken off Zoloft and placed on Lamictal, which is now slowly reducing my manic episodes. Zoloft helped balance my mood after about a month, but the mania made my life more difficult.

Anxiety, Insomnia, Muscle Pain, Confusion

borderline personality disorder

1. Constant and sometimes painful hunger, would literally eat a meal and be hungry again within 30mins. If I tried to ignore it would lead to sever hunger pains.2.Weight gain, I've so far gained a stone since starting and despite numerous attemts via weightwatchers, slimfast and low calorie diets (plus I go to the gym 5 times a week), impossible to lose any weight.3.Mood swings. Spent the entire day recently just desparately wanting to cry for no reason, then all of a sudden be really angry at nothing. Snapping at people and can't control what I'm feeling. It's so horrible!!!4. Heart palpitations. This is seriously scary, it feels like your heart is trying to beat its way out of your chest, can make you feel almost breathless.Overall, I would not reccommend this drug, the side-effects are far worse than anything you could be taking the drug for. If you want if for contraception try something else first, this just isn't worth it.

Hard to describe, but a head pressure, almost a dizzy feeling during the first month.
