It got labor going, fast and strong. I think labor would have been less painful if this drug hadn't been used. My water broke but I didn't progress beyond the 1 cm dilation I arrived at the hospital with - until this med was introduced. Then, boom, I progressed. From start to finish I had my baby within 8 hours. It was a first labor too. They're supposed to go slowly.
Painful contractions, too strong. But effective med for what it was given.

I took the med for 7 days applying a patch (total of 3) every three days. Lost one while snorkeling after 2 days or would have taken only two. Dr's are CLUELESS on withdrawal and have no idea what's going on. Take Dramamine or just throw up until you get your sea legs. Its not worth it to take scopolamine.
Gave me an overall better feelings. Stopped the vaginal irritation and urinary tract infections. Great dispenser. Easy to use and really works.
I noticed increased arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), after taking the medication for 3 days. It was so irregular that I noticed it when resting and walking around. I contacted the doctor the next morning and they advised me to discontinue the medication. If it got worse they told me to go to the emergency room or call 911. I was very anxious about the heart beating so irregular.

The first night I took it, I took it a few hours after taking 1mg of Ativan (Lorazepam) and I fell asleep about an hour later! I couldt NOT stay awake any longer.
After about 3 months on Amlodipene (generic for Norvasc), started to take gelatin to address back pains. Next day ankles swelled up. Stopped gelatin. Back pain continued. About two weeks ago, hip started to hurt - took gelatin again. It immediately took care of pain in back and somewhat in hip, but on second day ankles swelled up. Tried the gelatin at lower dose and at longer intervals. Ankles still swelled up on 2nd day. Stopped gelatin. A week ago, started CoQ10 and now left ankle and foot is swollen continuously. I figure the problem is the Norvasc - and some interaction with these other products. I can't blame the Gelatin - as it is a food. Nor can I blame the CoQ10 - as it is an enzyme. I give Norvasc a rating of 3, considering that it did get my BP under control - when I was doing nothing else for myself.
I have gained weight and have noticed significant changes in my mood. I have been on Astelin for over a month and will be speaking to my Dr. this week to be put on something else .

symptoms similar to a heart attack -- tightness/pressure on chest from front and back, everything went gray, extreme nausea, feeling faint, stumbling, weakness, heaving. I saw a diagram of a heart -- almost like my "check engine" light came on -- as the symptoms began. I was so wiped out by the experience it took 1 week for me to lay around the house and rest before I could feel slightly human. This stuff could have killed me!
