After using this antibiotic eye drop only a few times after Lasik surgery, my eye turned blood red with pain and swelling. Turns out I was very allergic to this drug. But I am super sensitive to drugs - that is just me. You might benefit from using this drug.
CILOXAN (CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE): This medication is used to treat eye infections. Ciprofloxacin belongs to a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medication treats only bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections. I started with Actonel, had terrible side effects, for the 4 wks,,then my Dr switched me to Fosamax, which had worse side effects..I had a headache, different aches and pains. sweats,diarrhea, shoulder, back pains now I have stomach cramps,,distention, terrible insomnia, and latest twitching legs and tight toes like you would not believe. I hope this wears off.I only had 3 wks of Fosamax and wonder if anyone knows how long this feeling lasts....I would like to feel like my own self again, and not this ill feeling..I would like to know if anyone knows how long this stays with one, I think this product should be removed from the market, and who knows what the long term will do to ones body, if this is what short term does..I will take my chances also with good nutrition, exercise and Calcium/D.and never take this Fosamax or Actonel again.

I was part of the trial for Accutane, before approval, so there was no cost for me, just forms and reports. I did have the usual dry skin, chapped lips, sensitivity to light and lots of body & joint pain. I also had a few headaches.
extreme nausea, vomiting, auditory and visual hallucinations, uncontrolled movements, severe head ache, terrible anxiety/paranoia, very tingly feeling all over body, insomnia.
BP 140/110. It kept it at 120/85
Low libido, foot pain, hot flashes, lost my eyebrows and my hair has thinned. Now I may be having uterine problems. I was not aware that this drug had so many side effects.

THIS WAS THE GENERIC VERSION OF MACROBID (Nitro mono/macro). I do not have any underlying health issues, not taking any other meds, and am an extremely health conscious person, normal weight, exercise, etc. This drug almost landed me in the ER last night. My mother has taken the brand name Macrobid with no problem, but this generic version is toxic: Period. I wasn't sure if initially I was just having the normal flu feeling because of the bacteria die off effect (Herxheimer), but what happened last night was a clear sign. I stopped taking it and this morning my fever is gone. I was hoping to put a positive comment after the course was done on here, but no go. I'm not a fan at all of antibiotics, but NEVER GO GENERIC even though it is commonly prescribed because it's cheaper. PAY THE EXTRA CASH TO GET SOMETHING DECENT.
