Side Effects for Lodine xl (etodolac)

Constipation. I went from Relafen which was giving me diarrhea and cramping to Lodine which is giving me constipation. As far as pain relief its about as good as over the counter NSAIDS.

Lodine Linked to Stevens Johnson Syndrome

None with Lodine XL. The generic Etodolac caused intestinal distress - cramping and diarrhea. Are there compounding differences?

Prescription requested when Vioxx was taken off the market. It is not as effective as Vioxx, but does allow me to engage in daily activities.

LODINE XL (ETODOLAC): This medication is used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from arthritis. Reducing these symptoms helps you do more of your normal daily activities. Etodolac is known as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking your body's production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. If you are treating a chronic condition such as arthritis, ask your doctor about non-drug treatments and/or using other medications to treat your pain. See also Warning section. On day three, I notice that I am experiencing some arm/underarm/breast pain/tenderness. It's not enough to freak me out just yet. Other than that, I have experienced no unusual side effects. My UTI has improved.

Racing Heart, Blood pressure increase, night sweats

Have only been taking it for 5 days. I have experienced strange dreams and just started feeling muscular aches as if I were getting a cold/flu. Two nites ago I woke up due to a harsh-dull pain in my back -left side. Happened again last night, so came looking for possible causes and ran into this site.

so tired, too tired to cry, just lay on the couch most of time

at first it was hard to believe that it should work for my anxiety. I took tree times 10mg with food. After a week or six and when i took a higher dose "15mg tree times a day" it really began to work.I feel fine all day now, i am more socialized, overall very satisfied whit this med. Also for my add it helped a little because i can concentrate more due to less anxiety. i feel like a new person, very happy with it

It did bring my BP down to a more normal level (I was on Lotensin HCT). However, my doctor thought my cough was due to Lotensin HCT...but I still have cough. I would rather have slightly elevated (very slight) BP than diarrhea. I am miserable.

Immediate nausea, loss of orientation, paleness, sinking feeling, had to make an effort not to fall asleep, i felt as if I was going to die
