Crestor (rosuvastatin) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Crestor (rosuvastatin)

Total high 214 hereditary cholester

I had leg cramps after the second time taking. Each time I took one it was getting worse. Bad headaches, shoulder and hip pain. Wake up at night with legs tingling and stomach pain. So tired can't function. Not taking any more of these pills. I feel like I can't go on like this.

It isn't something that I can take. Just no more of this being so sick from taking a med. I'm not going to take it ever again!

I'm no longer taking this medication.

I'm no longer taking this medication. Muscle weakness, soreness, forgetfulness! Had to quit due to ab cramps along with leg cramping! Elevated blood sugar and now I'm t2dm! Great!

Now diabetic due to Crestor! I wish i had known beforehand! I never would've agreed to that poison!

Absolutely no side effects...taken at bedtime so if there are any side effects, I don't notice them while sleeping.

Bad cholesterol went from the 120's to 58 in 3 months

Pain in hand, back pain and progressively higher A1c over time. Now I’m pre diabetic with a recent A1c of 5.7 even though I’ve worked out daily for last twenty years and I’ve never been overweight and my diet is Mediterranean and fairly low in carbs.

Is there an alternative statin that doesn’t raise my A1c and reverse my pre diabetes?

Fatigue, weakness, muscle pain, pins and needles right hand, brain fog, depression, lack of interest.

The muscle weakness came on gradually but it made me try stopping. Fatigue, muscle pain and weakness went away quickly. Brain fog and mild depression took a bit longer. I like what it did for my lipids so I'll probably start it again but take breaks.

I have had no side effects at all. I go to my doctor regularly and get my blood work as she orders it. Not one problem. I am a nurse and if I had muscle aches I would take the supplement CoQ10 which sometimes helps but I have not needed to do that. This is effective for lowering my cholesterol, it is completely normal.

I am happy that I am not building plaque in my arteries. I am not interested in having a stroke any time soon. They run in my family strongly.

Constant chest tightness, getting bad out of breath, dry eyes memory problems. All heart and lung testing came back normal. It is the drug

Lack of warnings on all effects, especially hidden information that would be important to know. I had all kinds of tests done on my heart including 30 day monitor, pulmonary functions tests, ekgs, ct scans and x rays, it is the drug

Swollen hand fingers and arm. Burning in chest. Headaches

Used tablets before got my cholesterol down but too many side effects

I was taking 10 mg with no obvious side effects except occasional nausea. My doctor raised the dosage to 20 mg and within a month I had constant nausea and stomach pains. I told my doctor they were the same symptoms I had when I took Synthroid, which has lactose, and I thought there was a lactose problem. He looked up the lactose amount and found that the 20 mg dose had twice the amount of lactose as the 10 mg. He switched me to lactose-free fluvastatin and I am fine now.

Lower back pain was so too much to handle. Muscle cramp, headaches & really weird dreams. I felt better within 24 hours when I stopped taking it.

Some people cannot tolerate this drug. Even 5mg was too much for me. Change diet & walk more.

Side effect start after 30days taken...dry cough non stop, sore throat, fever, terrible joint and muscle pain, chest tightness and fire burning sensation....after stop 2days sore throat, dry cough and fever gone...I'm already stop crestor 18days joint pain and chest tightness still have...and have allergic reaction nose pain like fire burn...better eat Vegetarian then take this evil crestor...the side effect and allergic reaction will slowly build up once the medicine control your body....i know some people won't have side effect..but long terms your blood sugar will spike,i already test once i stop crestor my sugar drop...

If no medicine can heal u...try tradisional way like 500years ago how they healing buy roots, vege, fruits and leave....don't eat chicken, duck, cow, goat, wild animals....take fish only...if still can't heal...Pray to God

Overall soreness! Now the hips are affecting my exercise routine! Scans reveal nothing's wrong with the hips!I feel I've aged 30 years in the last 4! I'm not sure it's worth the pain for only another month to my lifespan!

Terrible pain in right leg practically unable to walk and i was worried i would lose my job due to so much pain and having to call sick in several occasions, finally i went to the doctor because i had blood in the urine and he told me to stop taking this terrible medication .also affected my memory and hair appears to be thinning ,not knowing what it was i started taking all sorts of vitamins and natural products ,but only work for little time and the pain returned until i stop taking rosuvastatin after 2 days the pain started to disappear and was able to walk with less pain, i hope i feel back to normal in a week from now.

Was taking 10mg per day for 2 years, then doc increased to 40mg. Due to the power of suggestion, I don't typically check side effects until I feel the need to or have unexplained issues. In this case I have developed the following: thinning hair, joint pain throughout, lower back, ankle and neck pain, foggy thinking, muscle weakness in legs.

In addition to the Crestor I have drastically changed my diet and my cholesterol dropped but my doctor wants my numbers 20 points lower. Wish there was a better solution.

CRESTOR (ROSUVASTATIN): Rosuvastatin is used along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It belongs to a group of drugs known as "statins." It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. Lowering "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides and raising "good" cholesterol decreases the risk of heart disease and helps to prevent strokes and heart attacks. In addition to eating a proper diet (such as a low cholesterol/low-fat diet), other lifestyle changes that may help this medication work better include exercising, losing weight if overweight, and stopping smoking. Talk with your doctor for more details. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

although I kept asking my doctor about these symptoms, I was never told it was because of Avalide. I was sent to a Neurologist for shaking muscles, who found nothing.

Bouts of hot flashes with nausea and dizziness. Burning sensation in scalp and back and arms. Pain in lower back, feeling like zombie / out of body experience.

Upset stomach, fatigue, light headed

Took to relieve diarrhea and cramping which it did to a degree. I was able to eat out without rushing to bathroom. But I do not see this as a long term solution. Taste is terrible, I've gained so much weight and am constantly bloated.

POISON. PURE POISON. Worse than Valium. At least with Valium I felt good and could pee!!!!

I have been taking 100 mg in morning and 200 mg at night. For a while, the night dose was very sedating, but the sedation seems to come and go (maybe it has something to do with whether or not I take it shortly after eating something or not). Has done wonders for the nerve pain and achy feelings I have with my fibromyalgia. I guess it's a "user's milage may vary" drug (meaning you may or not have a good experience with it). My grandmother and father have also taken it with no problems (both for neuropathic pain). For me, it's been a life saver.

Please make your own decision about this drug. I have been on inhaled steroids for over 15 years, and this is the best one yet.I would do anything NOT to have to take oral steroids, and thank goodness Azmacort was discontinued so that I could discover this truly miracle drug.Everyone will have different reactions to drugs, and maybe this is NOT for children from reading some of the "horror stories", but for those of us that suffer from really awful lung disease (Sarcoidosis & pulmonary fibrosis), this drug is a GOD SEND!

Itching, agitation, difficulty breathing, difficulty sleeping.

My first shingrix I was sore fever in arm. The redness got the size of a cantaloupe. It stayed there for a week. Then I started getting a lot of swelling for another week. Waited 3 months and went and got my second shot. It has been worse. I've had swelling fever 100.2 chills, headache, light-headedness. And I have bad dizziness had to hold on to things to walk. I am on my second day hope it gets better.

I am dizzy, and did not realize that the tendons in four of my swollen fingers were related to taking cipro. I am so sick! Dying was not on my list to do, good grief.
