Trusopt (dorzolamide hydrochloride) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Trusopt (dorzolamide hydrochloride)

Blur rinses in eye that won't go away after a week. Hard to see.

Works good except for occasional bad batches.

I have been using Trusopt for a number of years and it does a good job in keeping the eye pressure down. But, I have just had what I call a bad batch. Eye pain when changing focus to near objects. Renewed prescription and everything back to normal. First time this happened about a year ago I wrote to Merck. They replied that their lab would investigate and a month later another letter from them said that they found nothing wrong with the drops.

chest pain, dyspnea, fatigue-it's awful but the pressure is down.

Stinging shortly after putting the drops in.

After initial stinging I have no other side effects and my eyes feel morre comfortable than with any other eye drops I have used. However I have not tried any of the beta blockers. Unfortunately the pressure is still too high and my consultant is suggesting ALT laser procedure.

throat iritaion, cough, dizzenes

TRUSOPT (DORZOLAMIDE HYDROCHLORIDE): Dorzolamide is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (open angle-type) or other eye diseases (e.g., ocular hypertension). Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness. This medication works by decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye. It belongs to a class of drugs known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I agree with others, it needs to be taken off the shelves.

Took one aleve for a headache and about 30 minutes later experienced slight itching which gave way to intense scrub me with a steel wool pad itching. Had huge red bumps all over my body became very weak and felt like I was going to pass out which I avoided by laying down on the floor was still very weak and shaky the next morning... I recommended that this medicine be given to the people who are making it and let them find out for themselves...

Just as bad r worse than duragesic

I havn't been on this pill long, but already I am starting to feel very sick all the time. I heard that this could happen from alot of my friends so I knew what to expect. But so far, I'm not pregnant, which is good seeing as it was my main reason for going on the pill but it has made me become paranoid about if I am pregnant which I'm usually not. Apart from the nausea, and headaches which I can handle, there hasn't been anything distraughting about Yasmin.

Dr. gave me samples of this med to take for four weeks, leading up to monthly dose. After taking 35MG weekly actonel four times (weekly), within two days suffered diarrhea, sick stomach, tinnitis, headache; extreme tiredness. So sick at times I couldn't hardly get out of my chair. Only after a great deal of thinking, I decided to try ONE pill of the monthly actonel. Within two days I was sicker than ever with all of the above symptoms and more, plus an itchy rash across my upper torso. I decided not to take anymore of this med.

I am taking claritin allergie and sinus. It has helped, my stuffy nose went away, sneezing stopped, my eyes are less itchy. It works. I get really irritated by allergies, so I'll put up with the side effects, unless they get really severe then I'll stop.

Sedation. Unable to function. Glassy eyes.

I am in day 6 of a 10-day cycle of Flagyl and am starting to feel better from side effects, which include worse diarrhea than before, more bloating than before, urgent discoloured urination, bitter taste in mouth, and depression/anxiety. My doctor had to be begged to prescribe it, he says the infection I have is usually non-pathogenic and it is my colitis acting up but after almost a year and a half of nothing helping something had to be done. He scared me with peripheral neuropathy as a side effect and I am constantly thinking I feel it coming on but so far so good. If this does not help my symptoms I will be even more desperate than before.

I will say it worked fantastic at first. I was feeling much, much better but after about a year (I've been taking it for a year and a half) I started noticing a lot of side effects. I just want to sleep all day and night and never feel well rested. I have no energy or motivation and I've gained almost 30 lbs in 3 months. I went from 128 to 155lbs.

sometimes i have a bad taste in my mouth, improved sex drive, i think i may have lost some weight but i cant really tell...i still have a few drinks on the weekend and it doesnt effect me, i just dont drink alot at once.. it made me happier and more aware.
