Was prescribed this after having cataract surgery for high eye pressure! It has helped my vision to be clear!
Early onset low pressure glaucoma
Blurred vision at times during the day following application, eyes moist more often than before treatment, no significant reduction in pressure (following tests).
The treatment was recommended as a precaution against suspected very early onset of low pressure glaucoma - a definitive diagnosis had not been made at the time of posting
Not as good as Merck's original Timoptic. More side effects and lower effectivness.
TIMOLOL MALEATE (TIMOLOL MALEATE): This medication is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (open angle-type) or other eye diseases (e.g., ocular hypertension). Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness. This medication works by decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye. Timolol belongs to a class of drugs known as beta-blockers. No noticeable side effects except nausea and weight loss
Second time on drug. First time OK. Not this time! While on drug and in the last couple of days, I developed a crushing headache, was wheezy and generally felt lousy but thought it was related to extreme hot weather & humidity. 2 1/2 days after finishing all pills, woke up last night having allergic reaction with hives on head, neck, back, inner thighs, behind knees, lower arms & some fingers. Ears are swollen & red. Phoned the health network & spoke with a nurse on call. Am now on Benadryl, two every six hours & getting some relief but am still itching madly and new hives keep appearing. Cold compresses give some relief, but only temporary.
doc only told me side effects would be slight dizzyness, but was glad to find this web site with other comments. Strangest thing I've ever had since I orgasimied and nothing came out. Was only on it for two days and problems aren't severe enough for me to continue this.
Had lost 35 kg with reductil and doc prescribed me xenical to maintain the weight. Works well... take 1 or 2 daily but I'm "addicted" to it and cannot stop it because i'm affraid i will gain back all the weight...
My mum brought me Tamiflu because I have swine flu symptoms. I can't remember if I had side effects at first. If anything, I would say the tenormin makes me a teeny bit more tired than usual and--or because--it lowers my blood pressure.I wish all drugs were this easy and safe!!!

I did what it was supposed to do in my case,eased the anxiety and took away the tremors but I think the strength was too high 40mg. Will go back to doctor and ask to try 10mg.
Works wonders. It helped regulate my mood. No side effects. But if you miss a day you feel like crap. It saved my life.
Drug gives: acid reflex, depression, upset stomach, mood swings, loss of appetite. It makes you feel yucky. Not good drug.
