Neptazane (methazolamide) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Neptazane (methazolamide)

i have had the weightloss surgery and as i have lost weight i need less med. if you can call that a side effect thats the only one!! and maybe sometimes i feel like my head is top heavy

i was diagnosed with PTC that means i have to much fluid on my brain. the neptazane helps to drain the fluid. for a year and a half i had a headache that no meds would stop. it has a lot to do with being over weight. i have seen 5 different Neurolagest and it took the last one to figure it out. if you happen to be having headaches and you cant control then and no meds work you might want to look into it dont wait and let it take up almost 2 years of you life!

NEPTAZANE (METHAZOLAMIDE): This medication is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to certain types of glaucoma. Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness, vision loss, and nerve damage. Methazolamide belongs to a class of drugs known as carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. It works by decreasing the production of fluid inside the eye. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I used to have bad IBS-D. This drug slowed things down and given me my life back. I am not hungry, sugar cravings are gone. Weight is going down. I am loving it!!!

First few weeks, nausea, itching. Now (after 2 yrs) excessive sweating, night sweats, occasional itching, EXTREMELY vivid dreams. When I miss a dosage, I tend to get overly manic, irritable and over-sensitive.

Synthroid is horrible. I was on it for two years. I fluctuated hypo to hyper and back the whole time. Depressed, fatigued and kept gaining weight no matter how much exercise I did and how little I ate. Never stabilized. I switched to armour with a small dose of cytomel in the afternoon and it made an amazing difference. I've been on the same dose now for 3 years. TSH has remained low and T3 has remained in the upper end of normal. My new Endo told me some people do not convert T4 to T3 properly so synthroid will not work for them. I am one of those people and I am so greatful I found a Dr who would finally listen.

I'm 75, weigh 138, 5'10", A1C 6.2 - 6.7 with 2mg Glimepiride 2000mg metformin. Dr switched me to Januvia 100mg 2000mg metformin. Blood sugar went out of control from day 1. Over 200 daily average (I test 7 times/day). Morning Fasting went from 115 to 226. Nine fhours of vomiting and diarhhea on second day. Nauseous every day for two weeks. Lost 5 lbs in two weeks--I need to gain weight. Stopped after day 14. Very bad drug for me. Dr now wants me to try another miracle drug: Farxiga. Don't think so as I will need a loan from Warren Buffet to buy it.

Well, I was worried with all the comments I read, but thus far I only have some drowsiness and drymouth.

I try to only take it once a day, instead of twice a day as prescribed.

I had to take flagyl twice, the first time my infection didnt clear. I was put o it again along with another antibiotic. It has been a week since I have finished and I am experiencing joint pain, numbness and tingling in my hands, arm and feet. I have tremors/ chills, similar to like hot flashes. I have read so many responses to this medicine and Im not alone. The fact is, doctors say that the side effects I named are the more "UNCOMMON" but it doesnt mean that you wont experience them! Also, I was treated in the emergency room and I probably should've waited to go to my OBGYN simply because I was on two different antibiotics, still taking birth control, and diflucan. Ay one else experience these symptons after taking flagyl?

Pain at injection site. Now after 10 years, my thighs are rock hard at the injection site and I have tissue loss at my hips. I showed my doctor that I have loss of tissue down to the bone on one buttock, said he's never seen anything like it. Copaxone works but I am running out of places to inject. It is also taking a toll on my teeth.
