Can cause minor stomach ache sometimes but nothing that doesn't go away pretty quickly. No bad side effects.
Have had wonderful luck with this drug. Even after flares and a round of Entocort, it keeps me in check. Would recommend it highly before all the drugs with horrible side effects!
Have taken pentasa, asacol, mezavant& salofalk over the years but dipentum seems to have worked best, Imuran will be next on the list if I flare again
DIPENTUM (OLSALAZINE SODIUM): Olsalazine is used to treat a certain type of bowel disease called ulcerative colitis. It does not cure ulcerative colitis, but it may decrease symptoms such as stomach pain, diarrhea, and rectal bleeding caused by irritation/swelling of the colon/rectum. After an attack is treated, olsalazine is used to increase the amount of time between attacks. Olsalazine is a salicylate anti-inflammatory drug. works great. Very few side effects except for swollen, sore feet....
My boyfriend initially went to the doctor for acid reflux and migraines. After blood tests, ct scan and GERD test he checked out fine. Nevertheless, he was experiencing exteme nausea and could not walk w/o feeling faint. He has missed 2 weeks of work! He is no longer taking nexium.
VIVID nightmares, nausea, fatigue, extremely tired, starving or no appetite at all, headaches, bad breakouts.
Prophylaxis for dental procedure
Crippling Migraines,muscle tension neck and shouldrs. Migraines stopped after coming off but then the rest started. Drug should be banned, irresponsible drug company in my opinion. Not enough known about serious side effects.
Extreme Drowsiness, Ears closing, ringing in ears, disturbed concentration and nervousness. It prevented headaches frequency and severity but felt uncomfortable during the whole time while on the medication.
Pregnant/low progesterone/spotting
