Side Effects for Climara (estradiol)

CLIMARA (ESTRADIOL): This medication is a female hormone (estrogen). It is used by women to help reduce symptoms of menopause (such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness). These symptoms are caused by the body making less estrogen. If you are using this medication to treat symptoms only in and around the vagina, products applied directly inside the vagina should be considered before medications that are taken by mouth, absorbed through the skin, or injected. This medication may also be used by women who are not able to produce enough estrogen (for example, due to hypogonadism, primary ovarian failure). Certain estrogen products may also be used by women after menopause to prevent bone loss (osteoporosis). However, there are other medications (such as raloxifene, bisphosphonates including alendronate) that are also effective in preventing bone loss and may be safer. These medications should be considered for use before estrogen treatment. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Take in am. Noticeable increased energy especially in morning. Strong coffee really ratchets that up. Skip lunch occasionally. That high energy disappears once I'm home from work with the kids. Exhausted. Damn kids. Hasn't done anything for depression. Found out I have low-t and started andogel 5 days ago. Not feeling anything from that. Doing both now per doc. He acts like the planets will align in a couple months. I'm doubtful, but willing to try. Might have to ask for some Viagra and triple up!!

Some burning. I have used it for about 10 weeks and it has only helped a little so far.

Seemed to help pain better than any other med I've tried, even the half cap (15mg) I started with seemed to make a difference. Afraid to take it now, as I realized that it masks the symptoms I need to be aware of as a diabetic on insulin AND I forgot to take am meds and nighttime insulin yesterday. Forgetfulness is too dangerous for type one diabetes and for my vocation. Hoping not to have any withdrawal. Trying dry-needling by a PT for pain.

Periodic Limb Movement Disorder

Been using this med. for a few years and have been having severe artheritis symptoms for a few years. Today when I was feeling pretty good then took my Myralax and the artheritis kicked in afterwords...that's when I put it together.I saw one other complaint similar to mine on this forum.Think I'll try to do without and see if artheritis improves.

I started to have panic attacks because i had a very stressful job. Didn't sleep more than 4-5 hrs over the course of a year, unhappy at my job, always stressed and angry. Suddenly panic attacks happend. First started with sertraline, got nervous anxious out of nowhere just by waking up, same stuff with lexapro. I don't know but these ssri's are not good if your body isnt adjusted. Stay at your dose, as soon as you change you start to get all these side effects. I hope one day I'm off of these and and can feel like myself again.

A "pick me up" for physical tasks. Not as good as Ritalin. Not really a calmer, no addictive, but larger amounts required as tolerance develops, and then it hardly works at all.
