Side Effects for Zyclara (imiquimod)

Horrible....just horrible. Do not use this cream find an alternative route.

ZYCLARA (IMIQUIMOD): Imiquimod is used to treat actinic keratoses (AK) which are precancerous growths on the skin. AK are caused by too much sun exposure. Treating this condition can decrease the risk of complications from them. It is also used to treat warts on the outside of the genitals/anus. Imiquimod belongs to a group of drugs called immune response modifiers. It is believed to work by helping to activate your immune system to fight these abnormal skin growths. This product is not recommended for use on children under 12 years of age unless specifically directed by your doctor. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

2nd dose - started with sore arm, then started to have aching in all my joints Also cramps in my legs, buttocks. That night woke up with heart pounding and in a sweat after 2 hours asleep. During the day, the aching in joints continued as well as a bit of an upset stomach feeling. Felt I should go to bed for awhile. Joint paint is sometimes stabbing.

I was prescribed this medicine to help me with an immedite anxiety problem, to be taken as needed, until the antidepressant (effexor), that I was also prescribed, started to work. That is also used for anxiety/depression. This is a common procedure and the Klonopin should be removed from your daily intake after 4-6 weeks if it is prescribed in this way. The doctors warn of the possible addiction and if one heeds their advice you should be okay. Might I suggest to think "short term" use while pursuing a less addictive and more long term medicine, such as the proper anti-depressant, for anxiety. (consult your doctor)

Has worked fine in alleviating the worst of my seasonal allergy sneezing. I don't get "sneeze attacks" anymore since using FlonaseĀ®. It has been a useful medicine for me. I am a bit concerned by the unknown long-term use of nasal corticosteroids, so I'm going to eventually try to wean myself off of it by beginning allergy immunotherapy. I saw an even further improvement in symptoms recently when I began using SingulairĀ® in conjunction with FlonaseĀ®. Now THAT was a remarkable improvement!

On occasion feel tired, however without this medication I am not able to get out of bed in the morning.

Before taking strattera I took adderall and ritalin. Both of these medications gave me terrible mood swings and made me a bitch that no one could tolerate to be around, so when I experienced strattera, and was able to concentrate and do well in school, with out being bitch/nervous wreck, I had to take it regardless of the side effects. But as I mentioned, after experimenting and finding out what regimend worked for me I rarely ever experience the side effects, UNLESS I forget to take it at night and take it in the day.
