Made my blood pressure go extremely high, shortness of breath after 2 doses.
I wanted it to work but there were too many side effects.

EXTREME Bone and Joint Pain (been to ER twice since it is so bad...and P/C doc will not prescribe percocet for "knee pain" - Dr. Obudo-Ecklad of Kaiser Fairfield, CA), crutches barely help.Sleeplessness, Hot Flashes, added depression, weight gain, bloated. The bone pain is so bad though, that at times at night I have to get on the floor and use my upper body to drag my legs to the bathroom!
Rpaid heart rate, insomnia, nausea, bad dreams, moodiness, apathy, withdrawing from it caused more side effects (but no worsening of stomach symptoms so reflux may have been misdiagnosis), wierd appetite changes (no appetite or bottomless pit, starving in middle of night and then full in morning without eating in between)
If your doctor can give you something else like 5 day Z-pack go for it.
Horrid dreams, palpitations, anxiety, lost weight and extreme fatigue. I seriously thought I was dying. 1 month has passed and I still am having issues with fatigue and a few purple marks. I'll never take this drug again. I did get another medication which finally cleared the uti.
This medicine has so compromised my health and well-being. It's frightening that medicines can have adverse reactions that are irrereversible.
The first time I took it (within hours) I had SEVERE sweating, diarrhea, dry heaves, disorientation, tingling and dizziness. I was slumped on the floor of the bathroom dripping sweat and unable to speak clearly when the EMTs arrived.
Ringing in ears, fast heart beat, numbness in fingers and toes.VERY tired and confused. I cant think clear. RLS.
I am a jogger, 5 miles q day. On baycol was unable to walk one city block. Just getting out of bed in the morning was a major obstacle. Was taking pain meds just to get to work. This is a very dangerous drug and should be taken off the market. I have been off this drug for 3 months and still have considerable pain.

I will not be finishing this prescription - I have only taken it 2 days and have had a horrible metallic taste in my mouth. I called dentist and ask for a different antibiotic.
