Side Effects for Trimox (amoxicillin)

I didn't like this medicine. I've got bad stomach pains and diarrea at first. But the main side effect was a totally black coated tongue. It wasn't painful, but disgusting. It's been 2 days since my last dose and now it's slowly going away.

TRIMOX (AMOXICILLIN): Amoxicillin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. Amoxicillin is also used with other medications to treat stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by the bacteria H. pylori and to prevent the ulcers from returning. I went on wellbutrin after trying celexa for 7 weeks. Celexa killed my sex drive completely. It was stressful for both me and my husband. I started wellbutrin 3 weeks ago and overlapped it with the celexa for two weeks. My energy level increased quiet noitceably but my sex drive did not improve until I stopped the celexa. Currently my energy level is good. Rainy days do not make me want to shut down. However I can't sleep w/o ambien and my stomach is killing me. I can't decide if I should stick it out a little longer or stop it. Anyone have some suggestions?

I wonder what the long term side effects will be, anything like prednizone ?

Weight Loss. The drug caused depression - a great side effect for someone with panic disorder.

I am taking this to counter the symptoms of hypothyroism. I was diagnoised a 3 weeks ago and am always sleepy and gaining weight. I am startimg to get down b/c of these symptoms. I do not know if I have lost any weight but the increase in energy is nice.

I feel that the side effects of coumadin add to the frustration felt by patients after heart surgery. Rapid weight gain, headaches and hair loss in a short period of time does alter our perceptions of self. The new self that stares back at me in the mirror is like a stranger, but I think I can get familiar with him over time.

Difficulty breathing; loss of energy and desire for doing normal things.Bleeding several times a week (associated with long standing or lifting weighted things).

lethargy, nightmares or vivid dreams, excessive sweating, heat in legs, itching, some manic energy, mood swings, sensitivity to noise waking, irritability, and disrupted sleep (waking every hour or so, I would be asleep and suddenly startle awake).
