Side Effects for Terbinafine hydrochloride (terbinafine hydrochloride)

mild stomach ache, increased tinnitus - mild

I was on Terbinafine for 3 months, it took 5.5 months to completely clear my toenail fungus. My fungus which I got from banging my toe years ago was an ugly dark green. I was afraid to take this drug due to side effects mentioned by other reviewers. My only side effects were a mild stomach ache maybe 3 days a week, but not bad and my tinnitus increased a bit, but not bad. The doctor said they used to prescribe it for much longer, but now they only do 3 months, the fungal nail will keep growing out and you'll be left with a healthy nail.

Stopped taking the med after 14 days (can't remember actual dosage, might have been 30mg). Felt depressed, and my coping skills evaporated. Had crying jags, thoughts of wishing I was dead. I checked the side effects list and was surprised to find depression was a possible SE. I'm slowly recovering but still fatigued, still emotional and have trouble getting things done. I take 10 MG amitryptyline as a sleep aid but not as an antidepressant. Have a history of post partum depression, 1985 and 1990 and after hysterectomy in 1999. If you are a sensitive person or ever had depression, be careful using this drug.

Extreme vertigo. A frightening experience. I am glad I was not driving, but in a physical therapy office (doing exercises for my back) where professionals could help me. I have not taken it since, but the symptoms, although less severe, continue four days later, along with a persistent headache.Horrible drug. Going through the list of side effects, I wonder why it is ever prescribed.

Taste disturbance (lasted a few hours then went away). Rash for a few days then went away. Loss of appetite. Body Aches every now and then. Vivid dreams (which I appreciate). Extreme Fatigue most days.

Will continue treatment despite all the negative side effects since the fungus was spreading to all of my toenails and I have a swimming pool so I want to be able exposed my feet without feeling embarrassed. If I get cured then it will all be totally worth it! (45 days into treatment and clean clear nails are growing!)

Slight loss of taste.Slight hair loss.

Started taking 3 months ago. Toenail fungus of 16 years improving dramatically for 1st time. (Tried all alternatives without success)Went on sugar free/ gluten free diet, no alcohol. I believe this minimised impact on liver, and thus side effects.Terbinafine is toxic, but so is a fungus, often found systemically if on toenails. Lifestyle change stops re-occurrance, but needed terbinafine initially.

Zero side effects, I feel exactly as I did before using it minus the constipation.

This drug needs to be taken off the market NOW. DO NOT LET THEM GIVE THIS DRUG TO YOU... especially in an IV.

Extreme anxiety, panic attacks, and extreme depression. I'm already on Prozac for generalized anxiety disorder, I started to panic and think my Prozac was not working but it was the adverse affects of zantac.

Intraventricular Hemmorage, Blood clots in brain, severe brain damage, coma.

also was hospitolized about 6 months after starting medication with 2 TIA's.

I do not recommend taking this medication. I see that it's not just me from the other comments, but the cons FAR outweigh the pros which are not really visible. Homeopathic eye drops work better for me! I took Target generic version of loratadine 10mg 24-hour allergy.

severe nauseau, vomiting, and fatigue

Days 1-3 Irritable digestive system, fatigue, dark urineDays 3-5 All of the above plus burning sensation when urinating,Day 6 All of the above plus depression, anxiety, massive headaches, joint aches

SEVERE NAUSEA, headaches (both problems I had as symptoms of PMS but I now have them ALL the time).

I have to say I have been on Topamax for at least 8 years. I originally only experienced the fatigue and loss of words which the experience of not having violent headaches far outweighed the side effects. I cannot tell you what changed in my body as the dosage has remained the same at 200 mg for years and I have not changed other meds, however, the extreme depression and weight loss and confusion, memory loss I have experienced over the last year is not worth it. I thought it was me until I did some additional research. Just be wise, and careful, because the depression can almost kill you.
