Side Effects for Starlix (nateglinide)

This didn't do a thing for me. Didn't lower my blood sugar at all. I changed Drs. and he had me stop taking it. No change whatever to blood sugar.

STARLIX (NATEGLINIDE): Nateglinide is used alone or with other medications to control high blood sugar along with a proper diet and exercise program. It is used in people with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. It works by stimulating the body to produce more insulin. Insulin is a natural substance that allows the body to properly use sugar from the diet. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

When I saw my doctor for mild depression, I wish he'd encouraged me to see a counselor instead of starting celexa. I hate this drug and wish I had never started it. I am decreasing from 20 mg to 10 mg daily. I believe that this antidepressant is not working well for me with what I believed to be a mild case of anxiety. Prior to taking Celexa, I had not experienced self esteem problems and lack of confidence. Wait loss seems to be a problem for me too. I have lost 20 plus pounds in the last month. My advice: DONT DO THIS MEDICINE if your male and facing anxiety.

I wrote them already...I am the 52 year old female...but I forgot to put my email address so here it is

sore muscles all over, not feeling "good," and feeling like I worked out too hard, all of which started within hours after working out.

I took Levaquin b/c other antibiotics did not work or made my stomach upset. Within 12 hours of taking Levaquin, I got a debilitating migraine and my knees felt sore. I thought the pain was from working out b/c I am very active and athletic. I have never had knee pain before. After 12 days, I can hardly walk. I am stopping today, despite a chronic sinus infection.

Very bad Nausea on 3rd day so I discontinued use, also had some insomnia and crazy dreams

I had to stop taking Altace because my tongue swelled after taking it for several years so dr switched me to Micardis. I also take Methyldopa (Aldomet was discontinued) and the Micardis made me less dizzy/unsteady then the Altace. I have noticed a slight hesitancy with my short term memory but who knows if it's due to my age.

I am a 54 year old post-menopausal woman taking Actonel 1 per month. I've been taking it for 4 1/2 months now. (I have also been previously diagnosed with epstein barr virus which causes chronic fatigue syndrome). With the first dose I did not notice any possible side effects but mild indigestion. After 4 months I am experiencing fatigue that is far worse than usual. I feel so tired that I want to lay down & die. I sleep much more than usual, out of necessity. I also feel oxygen deprived, have on/off sweating (particularly right after dosing), increased back & hip pain, chemical taste in my mouth, on/off choking sensations and a lump/sensation in my throat. My sense of smell seems impaired and my vision has become very blurred since beginning Actonel. I feel as if I have a bad flu, taken poison or something that does not belong in my body. My doctor wants to switch me to Fosamax because I cannot afford the Actonel. Fosamax is not the bisphosphate drug of choice for hips

I went off the Medicine and all these symptoms went back to normal but the acid reflux was so bad I had to go back on it. It works for the acid but I hate the side effects. I've also been on Nexium, Prevacid,Acephex, Zantag, Pepcid Ac, Tums

Hypersexuality (while starting; lasted 2 months), insomnia, nausea, constipation, occasional headaches

I had a stroke 16 months ago after taking zocor for about four years
