GOOD GRIEF--I THOUGHT I'D TRY AND DO WHAT THE DOCTOR WANTED--AND TRY YET ANOTHER RX---AFTER TAKING MY FIRST PILL THIS EVENING---I FINALLY HAD MY TURN ON THE COMPUTER TO CHECK OUT TRICOR---A DOUBLE GOOD GRIEF!!! WELL THE PILL IS IN ME NOW--BUT THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCES---I'll NOT TAKE ANOTHER ONE---WE HAVE TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER!! AND I THANK YOU ALL---

Initially (first month after every dose increase): anxiety, nervousness, insomnia, loss of appetite, weight loss, ADD-like symptoms. It has helped my depression tremendously, though!***Long-term: I don't think many people list long-term side effects, so I want to warn people of my experience! Wellbutrin XL was great for losing weight INITIALLY. However, after being on it for 2.5 years, I now notice a severe increase in appetite, and slow weight gain....(see additional comments)

I am super sensitive to all drugs, so I can take almost nothing without bad side effects and allergies. I had been on Tenormin (atenolol) for many years, but it no longer was controlling my blood pressure, it was only lowering my heart rate (something I needed in addition to BP reduction). I (worriedly) added Atacand to my Tenormin regime in hopes of lowering my uncontrolled BP. What I really liked was I had no side effects and also the fact that there was no cumulative effect on blood pressure or heart rate reduction between the two - the Atacand controlled only my high blood pressure and the Tenormin continued to control only my heart rate. Another thing I like is that it is short-acting so I knew when I started it that if there was a problem, I could stop it and it would be out of my system in a few hours. I started small (1/4 of a 4mg tab) to test it out and found no side effects, just a reduction in my blood pressure - a miracle for me! Now I take an amount based on my current blood pressure - that way I don't overdo it if my BP happens to be low and I don't under-dose it if it's high - the smartest way to dose a short acting drug (take only what you need). So for me personally, I take (3x a day) 1/2 a 4mg tab if my BP is in the 130's, 3/4 of a 4mg tab if it's in the 140's and a whole 4 mg tab if it's 150 or above. I take 50mg Tenormin 3x a day along with it to keep my heart rate below 80. No sleepiness, dizziness or cough! GREAT DRUG!!

I would recommend this for a severe UTI.

Well...Hallucinating. Making VERY weird phone calls in the middle of the night singing songs to random people, telling the blunt truth(Told my friend he was ugly with short hair) hearing random voices, delusional thoughts such as little kids in my room, having sex

Worked great for hives. Hives are gone!, and no more itching. I just feel like if you took a pin you could pop me, just like a balloon. I have gained weight on this drug, and increased my exercise and went on a strict diet, and I can't loose an ounce! I think it slows your metabolism down unfortunately.

Light Headedness, Unable to concentrate, heart palpatations, chest pain, General lethargy, upset stomach

Taking the omnicef wasn't so bad, but it did give me C-diff, which I battled for 3 months.

This is the result of taking 1 pill a day for 12 days: On day 3, I felt stabbing pain above a knee. Thought I had somehow injured it - but the pain vanished in a day. The next day, I felt stabbing pain in my spine and I thought I had thrown my back out. I was hunched over to the left and figured it would take a week to get better, but the pain vanished after a little more than a day. I started feeling an odd sensation in the center back of my calves. I put weight on suddenly for no reason and ringing in my left ear increased. Next the calf sensation turned painful at night and started increasing. I figured out these issues all might be caused by Lipitor and stopped taking it immediately. But the pain in my calves continued to get worse for several days! My legs were waking me up at night and were all contorted. I've never experienced anything like it but the nurse said,

Awful. I was so happy before taking this medication. It didn't really help my chest pain so my doctor told me to double it and I fell into a state of depression I didn't know was possible. I cry 2-3 times a day, no motivation to do anything, don't want to be around the people I love. My doctor keeps telling me it'll be fine and wants to prescribe me an antidepressant, but after reviewing everyone else's reviews on this medication I know that it isn't me that's the problem, it's this medication. I've been off it for almost a week and still don't feel better. Hopefully it will go away soon. Do not take this medication!
