The stress over paying the co pay on this hiked up drug has far outweighed the good it did, and the hospital would not let my insurance get it at the 6 dollar co-pay I was told I had for coverageI spent the next few months trying to get better and fighting with the billing office, totally depressed and stressed out, and have been going without treatment and am having a relapse. It’s overpriced.

This drug is the Rolls Royce of RA treatments. I took it during a study prior to market and now under my insurance. It has, along with lifestyle changes including weight loss, change of diet and exercise has brought my inflammation numbers to record lows.
RITUXAN (RITUXIMAB): Rituximab is used to treat certain types of cancer (such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia). It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. Rituximab is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and can decrease joint pain and swelling. It is also used to treat certain types of blood vessel disease (such as Wegener's granulomatosis, microscopic polyangiitis) and can decrease the swelling of the blood vessels. Percosets were prescribed to me for the pain from my lapidus bunion surgery (which by the way feels like a bus ran over my foot), I asked for a different pain killer because the percoset made me nauseous, so the Dr. prescribed vicodin. I had heard great things about this drug so I was excited to try and get rid of my pain. last night i took it for the first time after dinner, and i was in a state of euphoria for hours. i didn't feel anymore pain in my foot, in fact, it felt like there was a warm blanket around my foot (it was actually a cast). I took one more pill before I went to bed, and slept like an angel. woke up happy and giddy that I had found the perfect pain killer, so i popped another one at 7am. i've been sick ever since. can't get out of bed because i am dizzy and feel like throwing up. haven't eaten much today because the thought of food makes me even more sick. i am going to try cutting the dosage in half, but i am hesitant since the nausea is overbearing and i w
My 6 year old son has a chronic cough at nighttime and during athletics. My pediatrician put him on the mediaction for this. After taking the medication for the week trial, he awoke every night crying with night terrors. I spoke to the pediatircian about this symptom and she had never heard of this and dismissed my concerns; acting as if night terrors were not that big of a deal, that my son wouldn't remember it anyway in the morning. However after reading the Singular pamplet, the side effects are listed on the pamplet stating 'night terrors'. My son has also complained about headaches more often now, and is more sleepy during the daytime. However his night terrors have stopped after 1 month of taking the medication and his cough is gone.

My mother was prescribed this medication and soon after discontinuing med she started with depression, anxiety, nervousness, insomnia, anorexia, and confusion. This medication took an active senior citizen who traveled, had a circle of friends to socialize with, maintained her single home on her own, drove her own car and appeared 10 years younger than her age to a depressed, suicidal, crazy women. Weeks after stopping the medication along with the side effects she appeared to have aged 10 years older then what she was. Since she always looked 10 years younger, this was such a significant change. She had to move in with family, give up her house, could not drive anymore, refused to even talk with famy or friends on the phone, constantly worried, complained she felt as though she were "jumping out of her skin", could not eat, and had suicidal ideations. Despite therapist, doctors, antidepressants and anti anxiety meds, my mother gave up her battle and refused water and food and a living will stated she desired no hydration, medical intervention, or tube feedings. She was lucid enough to re enforce her wishes. I believe this medication led to a complete mental breakdown as to which she was not returning from. My mother died one week later and though she is no longer sufferring, I am so mad at this drug, the manufacturer and medical professionals for allowing unknowing patients to be subjected to such a terrible, destructive medication
Works great for intended purpose. Life in that regard is back to normal. But the weight gain is terrible and rapid. i gained 10 pounds, all belly fat, in a very short time without change in diet or exercise. It is terrible, my whole shape has changed. I tried osphena for 2 months but it didn't work nearly as well and I didn't lose the weight so now I'm back on estring. Also I am experiencing constipation, and I've never had that problem before. I think that it blocks something or other and I can't go.
