Side Effects for Rinvoq (upadacitinib)

I'm still taking this medication. Have been put back on Rinvoq due to RA fatigue that had returned. For me Rinvoq is the only RX that has reduced my malaise and fatigue. GI pain has reduced.

I'm no longer taking this medication. I stopped taking rinvoq due to skin cancer diagnosis.

Dupixent, then Adbry worked until they didn't on eczema, but psoriasis never cleared. Rinvoq thus far has eliminated both conditions.

Much annoying nasal and throat mucus with Rinvoq, but a small price to pay compared to the insanity eczema was causing 7 years ago!

Incredible food-poisoning-type stomach pain. Bed ridden due to severity of pain.

Very few side effects. Occasional scalp sores.

Symptoms improved when I stopped Methotrexate and use Rinvoq alone.

Urticaria and eczema of face and ne

Stomach pain at timesFlu recovery long

I would avoid taking flu and covid vaccines together as I was very ill after mine. Allow a break between them.

The worst side effect has been the acne. Because the cause is systemic, topical treatments don't really work. It just keeps aggressively coming back, every day a little worse. It's to the point where I'm thinking of stopping the drug, despite how good it's been for me.

This is an amazing drug for fatigue. And the side effects are minimal (aside from the acne). There's been no stomach upset, no headaches, no dizziness, no swelling, no weight gain... It hasn't really helped my joints, at least not in the short time that I've been taking it, but overall I've been happily surprised with its ease of use, low occurrence of side effects, relatively low cost ($60 with insurance), and performance in an area that commonly affects people with RA.

I loved this drug at first. It worked wonderfully for my anxiety and started working within 5 days of taking it. Headaches were terrible and creepy but I was willing to suffer. Initial drop in weight. After 6 months my appetite increased and I had put on 10 lbs. no sex drive and an inability to achieve orgasms started to affect my relationship. Restless legs were brutal. My anxiety was still in check and I just wasn't on edge all the time and irritated with everything like i used to be. it was nice. I had the stomach flu for 5 days and couldn't keep the pill down and went off it. I feel irritated again and anxious.. I am going to try a different drug though as the side effects were a little too much for me.

I used twice a day for 3 days before being absolutely scalded and burned with raw patches of skin down there. Unable to wear underwear, walk properly, worst sleep of my life.Genuinely have scarring, warts have all fallen off.Been using savlon for 3 days now and its WORKED MIRACLES. Cannot stress enough, use savlon when finishing your 3 day treatment.

Don't know how I'm going to go to work with this constant diarrhea!

Lexapro has helped with my anxiety. But the weight gain is very depressing! I have tried different doses, between 10-20 mg per day. At 20mg I had no anxiety but craved sugar like no body's business! I am now at 10mg and have only a small sugar craving, but also experience a little anxiety. It has been hard for me to find a good balance. Craving sugar and therefore gaining weight has been really hard to deal with. I am currently talking to my doctor about switching medications.

Please understand that not everyone will have the same experience with any drug. All the reviews stating that this is just a pain tolerance issue are ridiculous and cruel. You would never tell a person with a peanut allergy that they're just not eating peanuts right, so why would you invalidate someone's allergic reaction to a medication? Yes, this can cause mild burning that goes away. Or, you could be one of the unlucky souls to have a horrible reaction. Please do not invalidate the warnings or suffering of other women just because you didn't have issues. People need to know that they are taking a risk when they use this. If it worked for you, great. Leave your experience for people to read. But do not assume that women who have abnormal reactions like swelling, blisters and intense pain are just weaker than you. I have been burning and sensitive for almost a year now, but nothing compares to the original burning. If it was just low pain tolerance, I wouldn't have been functioning all this time. There are other options out there. You don't have to take this risk. And for the love of god, do not try to tough out a severe reaction. It can change you forever. At least do a spot test before applying it all over.

this simple drug gave me a much better quality of life. I went from 2-3 episodes of ataxia a day to less than 1 a month

Was on 15mg but still wasn’t sleeping and still feeling depressed. Was put on 30mg but now I’m having tingling and numbness in my hands, am having lots of trouble waking up, even after over 8 hours sleep, feel foggy headed most of the next day, plus very irritable. Never feel full no matter how much I eat, whereas before I was on it, I hardly ate anything. I’ve put on over 1 stone in 5 weeks!!!

Like the medication.... was on the handihaler years ago but think the same thing happened then. Went off for a couple of years now on this one & happening again. Funny that all the weight gain & bloating comments are from women....only happens to us or men don't care (pay attention)?
