RAPAFLO (SILODOSIN): Silodosin is used by men to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia-BPH). It does not shrink the prostate, but it works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and the bladder. This helps to relieve symptoms of BPH such as difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate often or urgently (including during the middle of the night). Silodosin belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha blockers. Do not use this medication to treat high blood pressure. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

my partner is currently taking this medication liptor, he also takes high blood pressure medication, my reason for initally looking for side effects of liptor was because of my partners decreased libido and to see if there is a connection between this and the medication, however i noticed a small number of people are suffering in this way, i cannot believe the amount of things that are causing such a big problem for so many people taking this drug, my partner is normally very muscular as works out twice a week and has done for years, but over the last 6mths or so seems to have lost a lot of muscle and replacedit with fat, especially around the midrif, he also suffers from regular dioreaha and muscle pain in back and just below shoulder blades, very often also suffers from headaches, doesnt sleep very well at night at all,also gets tired a lot, my partner isnt aware of this website but i will be definetly showing this to him and advising him to perhaps stop taking this medication for a few weeks to see what the difference is, so glad to have found this [email protected]
A little confusion and lack of focus and it's day 1 for me. Other than that, things are a pleasure right now. Feel very relaxed and smoking is already starting to taste bad for me.
Started taking after having stroke 8 years ago along with a diuretic and ACE inhibitor, bp gets out of control when stressed. I don't like all the meds but feel it is a necessary evil at this point.
Only 24 hours after taking 2 doses, I have extreme flu like symptoms, severe nausea, drowsiness and fatigue. I am scared to continue taking it as it may continue to get worse. I do not recommend taking this pill!
weight gain about 8lbs since Dec.2006 sometimes trance like state and forgetfulness. Has anyone had an experience with sunburn whilst taking coumadin. I have just come back from holiday where I sat in the sun for about 1hr just reading and finished up with severe burns, had to go local medical centre for treatment. I also suffer from ME and the fatigue from that plus muscle pain while taking coumadin is indeed hard to cope with at times
I am not sure if my constipation is from the meds or not. My stomach hurts and I have gas pain that has lasted all night and to the afternoon around 3pm
The drug helped me with my infection as early as the 2nd day (fever, dysphagia etc) but the side effects were a bitch. 5 days after the last dose and I still experience diarrhea. Zithromax must have f* up my normal flora.
I don't like this drug. Added it to limictal. Limictal gave me stomach ache this drug added the nausea etc... Taking 10mg. Been on it 3 days. I'm too sick to care about being depressed. Getting off it now!
Head pressure at back of skull, dizziness, vertigo, anxiety, panic attack
I haven't really noticed any side effects. This medicine works like a dream. If you miss 3 days or more you'll feel the effects.
