Side Effects for Pentoxifylline (pentoxifylline)

I am usually sensitive to all medications but I have not experienced side effects. The wound on my leg for 10 years now is starting to heal thanks to this medicine. I haven't felt the ocean on my legs in 10 years. Thanks to this medications my fingers have warmth to them again too (unless I miss or delay a dose). For perspective, I have had 13 blod clots in 15 years and had this wound for 10. It helps my blood get to its destination. It was my hail Mary that is working

PENTOXIFYLLINE (PENTOXIFYLLINE): This medication is used to improve the symptoms of a certain blood flow problem in the legs/arms (intermittent claudication due to occlusive artery disease). Pentoxifylline can decrease the muscle aching/pain/cramps during exercise, including walking, that occur with intermittent claudication. Pentoxifylline belongs to a class of drugs known as hemorrheologic agents. It works by helping blood flow more easily through narrowed arteries. This increases the amount of oxygen that can be delivered by the blood when the muscles need more (such as during exercise) thereby increasing walking distance and duration. We started noticing that our 2 year old had started stuttering and finding it difficult to talk when she previously had no issues. We have stopped using zyrtec now. What a scary medicine.

I was depressed, suicidal, anxious, crying all the time. I basically felt as if I was losing my mind. I stopped taking it and I am just now starting to feel like me again.

Let's see, I became extremely social and talkative. I went from being shy and quiet to very talkative, obsessed with socializing and talking to just about everyone I knew. I shared personal, random and weird things with tons of people. I gained weight even though I exercised every day. I did an hour of treadmill every day and still gained weight. I became manic and talkative, my sex drive went up. I was obsessed with partying and socializing and became very manic. I just kept talking about random things and became overly friendly. I became so annoying and when I went off, I was like a different person. It did relieve the anxiety, but it turned me into this manic, psycho social person. After getting off it, it took a very long time to lose the weight, lots of exercising and dieting to be skinny again. I was all into socializing, partying, I would talk about the weirdest most random stuff to people. It's so embarrassing.

I am VERY tired and experience mild cramping throughout the month. Slight trouble sleeping and when I do, I dream and sweat. :) HOWEVER, my severe mood swings (depression, anger, etc) have ended comletely. YASMIN has SAVED MY LIFE!
