Side Effects for Penicillin-vk (penicillin v potassium)

Shortness of breath, anxiety and panic, tingling in legs

I've had multiple dental complications throughout the years and penicillin is the only medication I've been able to take without harsh side effects. Within 3 days, the pain had subsided. If I get an infection, I always request penicillin. Works great for me.

The first two days of taking this medication I was fine. On the 3rd day I got severe liquid diarrhea. Never again.

Had no effect on the infection whatsoever

PENICILLIN-VK (PENICILLIN V POTASSIUM): Penicillin is an antibiotic used to treat and prevent a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats and prevents only bacterial infections. It will not work for virus infections (such as the common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

It's poison!! Drug co should be sued! It has destroyed my life

I was given this injection as I was told it could help me with my periods which are incredibly painful.I was told to expect some spotting and that was it.For the first 2 weeks after the shot everything seemed okay, I then developed a rash that went from my feet to my knees and from my hands to my elbows, antihistamies stopped the itch but the rash didn't go away for about 1/2 a week. Then I started to bleed. Not spotting. Proper HEAVY bleeding, clots and all.Initially I was in less pain than I would have been prior to having the shot, but by day 10 of the bleed, my pain was increasing more and more to a point where I was having to take the same old regimen of painkillers as I had done prior to the depo.Eventually the bleeding pettered out after 11 days, but I am left with constand and really bad pain in my pelvis, in the same 2 locations I have always experienced pain, and despite the fact the bleeding has stopped I am still on high strength painkillers for this pain and I don't know when it is ever going to stop.I also have a lot less ebergy than usual; I was running 20k a day on my crosstrainer but now I struggle to stand up from the setee without a wave of lightheadedness hitting me.The bleeding has caused me to go anaemic again (so much for light to non-existant periods!!) I also had the most unbalanced mood swings about a week prior to, and during, my 11 day bleed, ranging from feeling suicidal to teary, angry, all very negative.I wish I had never had th

Be careful in the morning when you wake up. You might still have some Ambien on board if you took it too late. I was in a car accident (minor fender bender) because when I wake up after taking Ambien CR I am out of it for awhile.

SEVERE constipationSEVERE angerIncreased headaches, continuing even after being off med for several months

It did lower my cholesterol. But I would have to tolerate the stiffness in muscles and the cramping in legs.so I have been off it 2 weeks now.

Severe bone and joint pain to the point of being incapacitating, constant dull ache in lower back, mild to sometimes severe abdominal / upper GI pain, tenderness in stomach area, nausea and bloating, chest pain, weakness and numbness in left arm, tingling in fingers on left hand, shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, dryness of throat, overall weakness and muscle pain.

I have been on Loestrin and OrthoTricycline-Lo before trying Yamsin. So far (knock-on-wood) I would recommend Yasmin very highly. I had HORRIBLE migraines and vomiting on the other two birth control pills --and such an awful adverse effect from Ortho-Lo that I started spotting uncontrollably (to the point that I was having a heavy flow non-stop and my OBGYN had to do a DNC kind of procedure to help me. I also had Chronic Lyme Disease, and have just now gotten off antibiotics (after being on strong antibiotics since 2001). This is the ONLY birth control pill thus far not to give me migraines and vomiting. I am very sensitive to meds, so I would recommend Yasmin to people whose systems are over-sensitive like mine. Keeping my fingers crossed ----but, so far .....so good! :)

I started taking paxil when I was 14 because of anxiety issues and depression. At first it worked, I felt like I came out of my shell and dealt with people better, but i could never miss a dose because of the withdrawals. It wasn't until I was in college that I noticed that I can't depend on this drug forever. When I was 22, I decided to quit cold turkey because my psychiatrist closed his practice and I hated that I depended on this drug. Not wanting to find another docter, I stopped using. The withdrawal didnt last too long and I immediatly started losing weight. I now realize that this drug probably did more harm than good. I don't recommend this drug at all. I wish I had explored other ways to cope with depression and anxiety.

One hour after taking, it puts you into a heavy drowsiness, almost into a stupor. You simply have to go to bed; I can't imagine anyone doing anything waking/active at all once the drug kicks in. Causes the profoundest sleep you've ever had; a godsend to those of us with hyperactive minds. Often it seems to make the night fly by instantly: One minute you're lying down, the next minute you're waking up 6-8 hours later, with no memory of having slept. Surprisingly, you awaken with little or no grogginess; the fog lifts within 30-40 minutes. I do find I need 2 cups of coffee, though to get me into the swing of active thinking. Seroquel's most disagreeable side-effect for me was, as the drug takes effect, it causes your nasal passages to swell up and shut tighter than a drum; on one occasion, very alarmingly, I felt I could barely breathe through my mouth, either. Nose spray (oxymetazoline) totally relieve this, however. Seroquel really feels like a p
