OSPHENA (OSPEMIFENE): This medication is used to treat painful sexual intercourse in women after menopause. Painful intercourse is a symptom of changes in and around your vagina, due to menopause. This drug is different from hormones (including estrogens and progestins). It works by acting like estrogen in some parts of the body. I take .5 mg of Xanax on an as needed basis for my panic attacks. I realize the potential for addiction so I refuse to take more then one or two pills a week. It has really changed my life and helped me cope with a miserable disorder. Highly recommended for those who don't have to take it every day.

Horrible Insomnia. Rapid Heart Rate. Nausea. I didn't sleep for over 36 hours and that was on the 12 hour Claritin-D! It cleared up my congestion and allergies but at the expense of sleep, it was not worth it.
I have to take extra steps to remember things, make notes and set reminders but it definitely helped slow things down enough for me to think clearly and also stay calm.
I was using a natural Progesterone to help with extreme cramps, heavy periods and peri-menapause. Starting out..it did help with the cramps and the heavy bleeding. Then I started getting fat and bloated around the middle. I thought my over 40 body was just changing. I ran out of the stuff and did not take it for about a month to 6 weeks. During that time, the bloating stopped and my weight dropped. This was keeping me fat. I know it was this. I'll deal with the cramps and bleeding with motrin the best I can. I thought it was peri-menapause weight gain, but it was Progesterone.
