OPSUMIT (MACITENTAN): Macitentan is used to treat high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary arterial hypertension). This condition is thought to be caused by increased levels of a certain natural substance (endothelin-1). This medication blocks the effects of endothelin-1, which helps decrease the blood pressure in the lungs, and reduces the risk of worsening of symptoms and hospital stays due to the disease. Holy mother of god....I felt the muscles in my feet calves trying to snap, severe nausea, dizzyness, fogginess, hallucinations and seriously screwed up dreams. I stopped taking 4 days ago...I still can't sleep. I literally see evil crazy things. First time in my life I experienced this, if you have a loved one on it, keep a very close eye on them. I didn't realize everything this medicine did until i stopped taking it. I'm never taking this again
I think that our current lifestyle, eating on the run, being tethered to a computer at work, having to complete impossible deadlines, mental exhaustion and physical inactivity because of a lack of green space are the causes of GERD. As long as corporations control the world, GERD will be on the rise and pharmaceutical companies will continue to create drugs that bind us to the cycle of dis-ease.
slight headache in the a.m. after taking, no weight lose but do fill full after very small meals some hand tremors mood swings are better wish doctors understood the functions better I was given enough radioactive iodine to kill an elephant and still have problems with my thyroid levels say normal but still have hair loss not as fatigue with the cytomel but I just want to feel better so take what they say. If any endocrine doctors read this I would be interested in what they have to say about my case please contact me.
The morning after I took prescription Zyrtec I woke up extremely congested and irritated as if I hadn't taken an allergy pill. Apart from the fact that I still had all the allergy symptoms I had the added bonus of all the negative side effects of this medicine. I sat on my bed all day waiting for the side effects to wear off. I had a date later that evening and worried that I will appear depressed or miserable. This was so frustrating. I won't take this medication again 😔
My son put on this for asthma/allergies cries all the time obsesses on his thoughts vivid dreams and can't explain why he feels this way!! Been off for 4 days some improvent and praying nothing is permanent!! This drug is the devil and the Canadian medical journal does not even list the possible side effects in children
I've been on 750mg/day for the past 2 days & already, I can't sleep. I've got bags under my eyes & my mind is racing. The only way that I've found to be able to sleep is to stay doped up on benadryl. Don't know if I'd opt for the higher dossage in the future.
Very sleepy or insomnia, thirsty, Urinary Incontinence, headache, light headedness, visual tracers/minor hallucinations, shock waves through the front of my body(especially my face and chest), nausea/panic attacks (if skipped dose), craziest dreams EVER!!, nerve twitches.
Had an upset stomach so took half of a 25 mg pill. Worked well and made me very sleepy so I went to bed. Woke up 20 minutes later and felt like I was losing my mind. Stayed awake for a half hour and began to regain myself. Went to sleep again and within minutes woke up and felt crazy again. Do not take this unless you are very sick.
Cramps, lower back pain, tenderness/swelling of breast. Constant bloating, gained 5 lbs. in one month, sluggish and mood swings.
