Nuedexta (dextromethorphan hydrobromide; quinidine sulfate) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Nuedexta (dextromethorphan hydrobromide; quinidine sulfate)

Extreme tinnitus (ringing in the ears)

This medication has really helped me stabilize my mood. I have proven to be very hard to medicate and many more common therapies do not work for me. Experimental within the last year or two as a treatment for bipolar disorder, my doctor and I decided to give this a try. Initially I had great results. But every 45-60 days I have had to increase my dose to continue it efficacy. At higher doses it seems to work but as it builds up in my system the tinnitus gets worse until I cannot hear out of my left ear. (It seems to be isolated to my left ear, oddly.) When we lower the dose, the ringing goes away, but so does the efficacy. May be time to try something new. I do think this medication can help others as a mood stabilizer.

NUEDEXTA (DEXTROMETHORPHAN HYDROBROMIDE; QUINIDINE SULFATE): This medication is used to treat a certain mental/mood disorder (pseudobulbar affect). This disorder may occur due to various conditions that affect the brain (such as stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis-ALS, multiple sclerosis). This medication may help decrease sudden outbursts of uncontrollable/inappropriate laughing and/or crying. This medication is a combination of 2 ingredients: dextromethorphan and quinidine. Dextromethorphan works in the brain, though it is not known exactly how it helps treat pseudobulbar affect. Quinidine is added to this medication to increase the effect of dextromethorphan. I take 15 MG per week. There has been some improvement in the intensity of pain related to the RA- from severe to moderate on most days now. Psoriasis has improved more than RA.

I find Ambien CR to be an absolutely wonderful medication. I do not use any type of drugs or alcohol whatsoever, but I have suffered from chronic insomnia and mild depression for over 20 years. My line of work requires that I wake at 3 am, therefore I need to go to bed around 6:30 pm on weekdays.

So far Qvar has been a good medicine in the preventitive treatment of asthma.

After being on Wellbutrin SR 300 mg for about 15 yrs for axiety mainly I started having full blown panick attacks when I would drive (ie overpasses/intersections) stopped driving completely for nearly 3 years My husband would drive me to and from work or anywhere else I eithr wanted to go or had to go. Became pretty much a daily routine for us. One day I literally had a "melt down" at work crying uncontrolably and took a short leave of absence to find myself on Effexor (sustained release) 150 mg 5 mo later I decided to quit cold turkey mainly because I "just did not care about anyone or anything" period!!!That is not nor ever had be a characteristic of mine. I wanted to "feel" again, this is day 4 and all I can say is othr than being "zapped out" I actually cried yesterday for the first time in 4 months. I guess being off of effexor I am truely a HUMAN BEING AGAIN!!! Now if the damn zaps would leave me alone!! AND TAKE BACK THE 15 POUNDS IF

This website had me scared out of my mind to take the generic Lamisil. After 3 months, my liver is great, and no side effects to report. My toenail fungus that I've had since I was 14 is gone and the athletes foot that I've had since I was 5 is also gone. I've battled athletes foot all my life and have been embarrassed to ever wear open toed shoes. I'm beyond happy with my results and urge everyone to be aware of the POSSIBLE side effects, but there are many positive cases out there, people just want to tell about their bad experiences.

Sleepiness in the evening, increased shaking, some increase in gambling desire.
