NIKKI (DROSPIRENONE; ETHINYL ESTRADIOL): This medication is a combination of 2 hormones: an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol) and a progestin (drospirenone). This product is used to prevent pregnancy. It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body. This medication also may be used to treat premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) or moderate acne if you have chosen to use birth control pills as your method of pregnancy prevention. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, and decrease your risk of ovarian cysts. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

to prevent flu symptoms worsening

I have spent hours researching symptoms and patient reviews for peace of mind. I'm very hopeful that these symptoms will dissipate over time. (12-14 weeks for Praluent to leave your system) I will try to come back and update my review as time passes. Feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions on how to lessen symptoms while I ride this out.I'm sure it's an effective drug however living with the side-effects significantly lowered my quality of life to the point of stopping the injections. Proceed cautiously if you feel you'd like to give it a shot, just know that there is a strong possibility that you may experience your own side-effects.

NONE AT ALL! However, I have been off of it for about a month now. I stopped it cold turkey. Have been experiencing some wierd side effects such as heightened anxiety levels. Its gotten to the point where I'm paranoid that I'm going to stop breathing. And I also feel like sometimes I have trouble breathing. When I was on it however, I had no problems at all.

Increased dose after 2 weeks from 150-300mg xl. For two weeks it has improved my libido and have had firm erections during the night and morning, etc. I was on vacation at the time and perhaps the stress free environment helped as well. Upon returning from vacation, I have had a few down days where libido is low and so is energy. I haven't changed the dose though. I'm hoping for more improvement after taking the full dose of the drug after 4-5 weeks.

acid reflux, bad taste, and panic attacks !!!

I don't know whether I can blame them all on metformin - but I've experienced diarrhea 3-4 times a week, nausea and sleepiness/fatigue for ~ 2 year. A1c is now at 6.9 whereas before it was 7.5.

I took 10 mg for 9 day. I was supposed to take it for 10 days but I've gained 5 lbs in a week and it is in general interfering with my ability to get everday activities done. Plus, I still haven't got my period.

I felt fine dr. said #were too high

Cleared up my outbreak (first and only one so far) but am having truly unbearable side effects. Bladder hurts so bad I can't walk and when I go to pee, which is a very urgent feeling, nothing comes out. Badly bloated - sooo thirsty, tired all day long, depressed, can't sleep through the night. Not taking last four pills - I can't take this anymore already have been to ED and I just got pain meds no explanation.

Severe stomach upset: bloating, gas, stomach cramps, constipation along with bouts of diarrhea, nausea, strange dreams. No noticeable relief of AS symptoms
