MINITRAN (NITROGLYCERIN): This medication is used to prevent chest pain (angina) in people with a certain heart condition (coronary artery disease). Nitroglycerin belongs to a class of drugs known as nitrates. Angina occurs when the heart muscle is not getting enough blood. This drug works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart. This medication will not relieve chest pain once it occurs. It is also not intended to be used just before physical activities (such as exercise, sexual activity) to prevent chest pain. Other medications may be needed in these situations. Horrible side effects. I took it when it was back on the shelves and started violently vomiting. That never happened before it was removed off the shelves. It doesn't work anymore. threw all the bottles out.

I feel like I'm going insane. I took it because I received HEAVY doses of Keflex and Clindamycin for a tooth infection and they were worried about C-Diff. I cannot lay down without taking an Ativan as my heart pounds so hard it literally shakes me. When sitting I find myself rocking back and forth and having extreme feelings of doom and gloom. 500mg 4 times a day and I could only take the stuff three days before this all happened. I WANT MY LIFE BACK!!!!!!!!!
I've tried various anti-depressants, some with disasterous results. Then started 150mg Wellbutrin and felt better but it stopped working so went to 300mg. This also stopped working. My doctor added 25mg of Zoloft for Anxiety it absolutely changed my life! I feel like "myself" again after 7 years of battling depression. For the first time in 7 years I woke up on a Saturday morning and felt excitement about all the things I wanted to do that day! Every day is a good day these days.=====I believe Anxiety was the root cause of much of my depression. I'm a happy, happy girl! No side effects at all except a bit of tinnitis and from the Wellbutrin (that improved over time) and mild jaw clenching. No weight gain. No sexual side effects. Zoloft works for me and one of my siblings but did not work for another family member who experienced a zombie effect.=Keep trying. I had lost hope but now I have my life back.
I was on depo Provera for 2 years straight. Then I finally got off due to things I was hearing. I got on and off. Now I went from being 96lbs to 146lbs. I know I needed to gain weight but now its horrible. I can diet and diet and not loose weight. Shortly after I finally ended for good I got Pregnant. It ended in a very miserable miscarriage. Now i cant get my period back and i pray for it. I want kids some day so This drug was a horrible idea.
The side effects changed over the course of taking the medication. At first, it caused some confusion, depression, anxiety, sweats, dizziness, and panic attacks. This only lasted 2-3 days. Then I started experiencing extreme nausea and I vomitted a few times. I then began taking the medication with a little food to help the nausea. I am on the last day of the medication now and I have experiencing extreme itching on my arms and legs and morning sickness.
It gives me a headache if I take it daily. It does help lower my bp, but I can't take the 25 mg. because of the side effects ( palpitations and headache and very dry mouth, eyes, etc.), so I take 1/2 tablet every other day, and sometimes I skip a couple of days. Also, I haven't had my potassium checked and wonder about that becoming a problem. It does work very well in lowering bp.
