exactly 12 hours after taking aleve I experienced dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. I thought it was the flu, but after reading some of this I am pretty sure it was the aleve
I began haven severe anxiety attacks about a year ago, following a very painful, prolonged, and complicated kidney stone attack. I would wake up around 3 AM in a state of extreme anxiety, and not be able to go back to sleep. I also had some severe periods from time to time during the day. I got so bad at times that I took all the guns out of my house and stored them at my son's house.Working with both my family doc and a psych doc, I tried Xanax, diazepam, zoloft, Buspar and Geodon. Contrary to generally accepted belief, I develop tolerance to the anxiolytic effect of benzos, and had to keep increasing dosage to maintain relief. Buspar is helpful, but not strong enough to give any lasting relief It would last about 3 hours after each dose. I was up to the max recomended dose of 60 mg/day. Geodon was so sedating, I couldn't function until late morning, and even then was a little out of it.And I didn't want to keep increasing my benzo usage.So my psych put me on Remeron.
Should be taken off market for children.
I was on other meds, Abilify had major weight gain, then tried tegretol-- major anxiety and horrific depression-cried about everything. Lamictal has been great, very few issues. Lamictal has made me feel reenergized about life and living, and I feel good. other drugs made me hazy and zombie like too.
Stuffiness/ fluid in ears (viral)
it is expensive and doesnt work! it just made me sleepy the day after taking it. i had bronchitis and the doctor said it was the only med that would help my serve cough. not true.
For a short-term, as needed thing Ativan is great. when I was freaking out to the point I'd convinced myself I couldn't talk it snapped me out of it in less than an hour. I still couldn't function perfectly on it (I eventually had to go on an SSRI) but it helped in the moment. I didn't get addicted or have any serious withdrawal from it and at one point I was taking it every day for about a month.
