Took 1 3 hrs before bedtime, took another @ bedtime. Woke up with extreme headache, dry eyes, dehydrated.
Cannot tell yet if it is helping the spasms, because they seem to happen at random times, but needed to sleep last night so made sure I took a couple of doses to try to assure not having them then. Did not experience any spasms. Will update in a couple of weeks since the following week starting tomorrow will be filled with extreme activity for me. I do recommend vigilant hydration while on it thus far though.

Even though I have gained some weight my mental health is much more important, this is the second time I have been on this medication and am grateful that it works when I need it. I do find it takes me 3-4 weeks to feel "normal". I feel calm, anxiety free and am loving life to the fullest!
This drug will take you to hell, and if you're lucky, back. 2 years on and still suffer panic attacks with weekly psychotherapy sessions. Traumatic experience. You'd rather be dead.
Im so glad I looked at this review after tommorrow I will not be taking this it made my heart flutter, terrable headache, panic attacks, I am done after this dose this medicine is a night mare
Cymbalta made my nervousness and depression worse! I have taken many, many drugs and this one was a doozy.
I had no idea that the symptoms I was having (for a LONG TIME!)were the result of Protonix. IT DID TAKE CARE OF THE EXTREME BURNING from food/acid leaking into my Esophagus and reversed the VERY HARMFUL case of Barrett's Syndrome ... BURNED MY ENTIRE ESOPHAGUS! I could not live with the pain I was having and I remember keeping liquid Maalox with me ALWAYS!!! I had to wean off MANY different types of mediacation recently, due to PERICARDITIS condition. I had lots of side effects from EVERY MEDICATION I TOOK! It got down to taking only an 81mg aspirin/per day and 1 40mg Protonix/per day. THAT's when I discovered THE REMAINING SIDE EFFECTS WERE FROM PROTONIX and I stopped taking it for a week ... THE CRAMPING STOPPED! THE PAINS IN MY NECK STOPPED! THE NUMBNESS IN MY HANDS AND FEET STOPPED!THE PAIN IN MY JOINTS STOPPED! But.. I had to start taking it again because the BURNING CAME BACK VERY BAD!!! I wish there was a way to just take one every other day or once a week!I sure hate the side effects .. but it DOES WORK FOR SEVERE GERD and BARRETT'S SYNDROME!!! Your burning will stop .. mind did.

Flare up of TMJ and Fibromyalgia
Took a bone density test after 2 yrs. and showed a pretty big improvement in my hips. i'm not even in menopause yet but the dr. said my numbers were that of a 70 yr. old woman.....didn't make me feel to good so i started on actonel and have no problem, thank goodness.
had a major seizure a few hours after the first dose and ended up fracturing 4 vertabrae in my back due to the violence of the seizure.
I can tell you that this medication is working to reduce my hives. They are not gone completely, but I am getting relief. Also, as many others with chronic hives, the only other thing that would help was prednisione. Now that's a terrible drug.
