I think starting on lower dose like 5mg/10mg is always the best. After taking this and 2.5mg propranolol I have having brain fog. Thou hyperthyroidism is normal but I still have heart palpitations and this brain fog is still worrying. My GP has made me stop both.
Low blood pressure, light headedness, awful blurry vision and shortness of breath when moving. My blood pressure is suddenly very low. Will discuss with the doctor.
Joint and muscle pain. Loss of hair. Inflammed nerves. Numbness. Tingling

It really helps with the hyper symptoms, but the muscle and joint soreness is a big drawback. Dr. says that is caused by methimazole. I cannot decide which is worse, but I think the hyper symptoms are, so I'll keep taking methimazole, even though the body pain is pretty bad.
I first started taking 20mg, that helped my symptoms of rapid heart beat and anxiety, but after a couple of months I noticed I started having itchy hands, so the doctor placed me on 10mg and I no longer had that side effect. I’m now down to taking only 5 mg three days a week and feeling very good.

Successfully lowered my thyroid hormone production. Unfortunately, i still felt on verge every day all day, so I was prescribbed low dose of propranolol which took care of this by lightly slowing me down.

Mostly Nausea, some vomiting, slight stomach pain, some constipation, my burps leave the aftertaste of egg (maybe sulfuric)
Upset stomach for the first few days, then developed an itchy, burning rash/hives on chest and neck, and in ears. I stopped taking it 4 days ago and my allergic reaction is even worse now. Steroid cream and antihistamines do nothing. I have never been allergic to any medication before, I would NOT recommend this to anyone!

the only good thing is that I have stopped bleeding from the fibroids, and I have not had a period in 1 1/2 years
Severe Muscle/joint pain. Quit taking after Achilles tendon inflamed with insertional tendonitis. Calcification on x-rays. took 6 months of physical therapy just now able to walk without pain. Heel drop stretches daily and new shoes seem to be the final fix.
