Metadate er (methylphenidate hydrochloride) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Metadate er (methylphenidate hydrochloride)

Worked well initially although sometimes seemed unable to focus. Worked better than Concerta which was tried initially-maxed out at 76 mg. Eventually though the Metadate did not seem to control symptoms as spaciness and sleepiness returned even though was on 60 mg. Tried Adderall for a week and was very moody and anxious. Switched to Strattera now and am very, very tired. Taking it at bedtime. So far Metadate the best at least initially.

Before taking this drug, I always felt depressed... All my life, all the time, I felt down... Now I feel normal, it balances the serotonine level in the brain... Have been taking it for 1 year (before that, one year of Risperdal Consta), have to take it for another 3 years, I feel so normal (and not down anymore) that I am afraid to stop it... But we'll see in 3 years

This is the best contraceptive for me- I usually get overwhelmed as hormones play havoc making me very emotional and depressed. This has not happened with this contraceptive. My libido has also stayed healthy unlike with others. Patch stays on well.

Lexapro helped me tremendously. I was at one of the lowest points in my life, and had gotten to the point that I could no longer leave my home. Within 2 weeks of taking this med things started improving. Stick with it, the side effects will go away. This drug was a life saver for me.

Anxiety Panic and Mild Depression

My Uneducated doctor prescribed it to me without reading that my chart that says I suffer from anxiety and depression. Later realized it was a side effect when I came back from my trip. I thought was going crazy until i realized "its just the drugs man"

I really wanted this to work. I tried it and I felt like one feels after a terrible hangover. Nausea, deep depressed feeling, tired even though I slept better than without it. I kept trying hoping the bad effects would not continue but they did. I switched back to taking Ativan for sleep. Much, much better

Debilitating nausea, anxiety, heartburn, lethargy, weakness. Couldn't function for days, stopped taking after 7 days, the effects stayed in my body a few days after too. Hopefully it has cured the problem, and yes in this case the cure was worse then the disease!

constant upper respiratory symptoms muscle aches flu like symptoms. Joint pain. coughing thick yellow drainage as measured approx 50cc PD. for the last 6 months.

very dry mouth and excessive thirst, weight loss.

I have been taking ambien for 4 years and eventually the effectiveness wore off. My dr immediately took me off and switched me to Lunesta 3 mg-the highest dosage. The first night was awful, he didn't tell me about ambien withdrawal. I was up every hour with the worst night mares. The second night was better. Lunesta however is not worth the $45.00 I had to sepnd to get it. It does help relax your mind for a few minutes but that is it. It doesn't help someone fall asleep and that is what I need. I take lamicatal 2x a day and then a sleep medicine. I would not recommend this to anyone it doesn't so anything. Now I have to find something else to sleep.
