Easy to ta take small pill 10mg
No side effects. Has lowered cholesterol and so far has had no bad effects on my liver.

High chol., switched frm Lipitor
Leg pain, shortness of breath, heart pounding, headache
I have cut to 10 mg with some improvement in sx. Never had any problem with Lipitor. Change caused by insurance.

Severe pain in back, quads, hamstrings, calves, ankles, feet.
Changed resting heart rate from 48 to 64. Caused me to almost pass out doing work that never bothered me before. Leg pain is taking months to diminish and has not gone away. I never had leg pain before.
LOVASTATIN (LOVASTATIN): Lovastatin is used along with a proper diet to help lower "bad" cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and raise "good" cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. It belongs to a group of drugs known as "statins." It works by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. Lowering "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides and raising "good" cholesterol decreases the risk of heart disease and helps prevent strokes and heart attacks. In addition to eating a proper diet (such as a low-cholesterol/low-fat diet), other lifestyle changes that may help this medication work better include exercising, losing weight if overweight, and stopping smoking. Drowiness, dizziness, lighthedness, constipation
2 days after I finished a 7 day course of Macrobid I woke up with hives all over my body and rapid swelling & terrible pain in my hands and feet. Went to the Doc. he gave me prednizone and told me to take OTC Benadryl. After 24 hours, hives were mostly gone but hands and feet still swollen and painful. Until I read this forum, I have been freaked out that something was seriously wrong with me!
I was switched to the generic brand, Recon 7/7/7. I have experienced extreme vaginal dryness. I am so embarassed when my husband and I are sexually active. I thought something was wrong (not thinking about the bc pills) with me until I began to read about Recon 7/7/7. I experienced frequent yeast infections with the Ortho-Novum 7/7/7 but the generic version is much worse. After taking medication to get rid of the yeast infection, I still experience vaginal dryness. I have not had this problem before. It has only been a month since I started taking Recon 7/7/7!
