Please don't give this to the elderly! They simply cannot tolerate it most of the time. Causes trance like state of mind, insomnia, night sweats, irrational thinking! Seriously.... find out what the allergy trigger is and try to eliminate what's causing the allergy! Our elderly are over drugged by prescription and over the counter drugs! I'm a caregiver and it breaks my heart to see them "out of their mind" because of these drugs with side effects! All drugs have side effects! Sometimes.... no meds are the best meds!
Works well to control sneezing. I have to take eyedrops (Zaditor) to reduce itchy eyes; loratadine has little effect on itchy eyes. Seems to be more effective when taken with food. I take loratadine all year, not just during warm weather.

For very simple allergies, like dust allergies, loratadine works well. Every time I clean my home or move a box, anything that will disturb dust, I get a runny nose or start sneezing a bit. I'll pop a loratadine pill and i'm good. But for persistant, on-going allergies, or even throat/nose itchiness, it just doesn't cut it. Was hoping this would replace benedryl since it's non drowsy, but nope! For longer lasting allergies, I'll just stick to cold medication.
I'm so glad this stuff works for me as I can't afford to re-do allergy shots and without something I am miserable.

No side effects until a couple of months ago. I've been bleeding nonstop for a good month. Horrible headaches every day for 3 months now. Always exhausted but I'm not a busy person.
EXTREME MOOD SWINGS!, depression, headache, nausea, fatigue, you name it! I have never had such symptoms before in my life and I would like to warn every woman and recommend them to absolutely avois Nuva Ring. Stopped using it after 4 terrible months and went back to normal few weeks after... (fortunately.)
I was originally prescribed 25 mg by my psych. I stayed on that dosage for a month and did not see any improvement in my overall mood/outlook or depression. My PCD suggested I increase the dosage to 50mg and then to 75mg (if needed) over the course of a month. Talk about night and day difference! 75mg must have been the sweet spot- I no longer questioned the meaning of life, and began to find beauty in the day-to-day like I had as a child. I am now so happy, and look back on that period with sadness- Thank the Lord I was encouraged by friends and family to seek help through a SSRI's.
Drinking water a lot as it goes straight through me. Periods are irregular and coming every 2-3 weeks though very light.

I took this drug in July 2012 for a sinus infection. Once on the drug, I could not sleep, eat and or stop vomiting. It took 3 months to start eating and sleeping properly again. I lost 25 lbs and had extreme stomache pain for 4 months. Nervous system tremors/shivers are almost gone 8 months later. I also developed a severe panic/anxiety disorder after taking this medication, that I am still dealing with today. Prior to taking this drug, I never had any history of anxiety or panic attacks. Drs say this drug could not be the cause of anxiety but it all started after I took this drug.

No side effects. Started at 2mg, increased to 5mg. Stream flow increased substantially. Still get up a couple of times a night, but this is related to my personal sleep pattern and probaly unrelated to the prostate problem.
After 36 hours on the drug, I began experiencing Atrial Fibrillation. I also experienced a panic attack. The first panic attack that I had since 2006.
Very Painful Swollen hands, feet knees and ankles, hot sweats and disorientation. Feeling nausia but it is ontl a constant feeling, has been for 3 days now along with just totalbody aches and pains, I was prescribed this for chest infection after giving up smoking. The way I feel it would be better to smoke and take my chances
