Side Effects for Latanoprost (latanoprost)

At first terrible acid reflux 3/4 hour after use. Now only occasional but I have regular acupuncture treatment to combat it. The meridian at the corner of the eye is the stomach meridian ! and is invariably found to be 'blocked'. I wonder if it's having to put pressure on the corner of the eye for a minute to keep the drops within the eyes or if it is the fact that the drops drain to the nose and down the throat.

LATANOPROST (LATANOPROST): Latanoprost is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (open angle type) or other eye diseases (e.g., ocular hypertension). It is similar to a natural chemical in the body (prostaglandin) and works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye which results in lower pressure. Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Had a sore throat for two weeks and a cough that followed, for about a month. Didn't have insurance, so I dragged my feet when it came to seeing a doctor. The cough got worse so I saw one, and he prescibed me a z pak. On the first two days, I experienced mild diarrhea and anxiousness. Reading the reviews on this site and others probably added to the anxiousness. The first night's sleep was very vivid and weird. I think that's because I took two pills that day. By day 3, I started feeling much better, and started coughing up all the mucus that was making me cough. I vomited in the morning a few times, but it wasn't substantial and mostly had to do with my coughing.I highly recommend taking a pro biotic 2 hours after taking a z pak pill, because the antibiotic gets rid of the good bacteria you need to digest things properly. It could help prevent stomach pains and diarrhea. Also, eat yogurt regularly. Especially AFTER you're done with the z pak cycle, to help get your digestive system back to normal. At least for the first week after your cycle.I also highly suggest chamomile tea for the anxiety, it helped me. Good luck to those taking the medicine, it was definitely frustrating to get used to but I felt much better after.

30 pounds gained since July. Severe foot pain. Tightness in chest and Gasp for air after working out and sometimes even during normal activity. Tired all the time. Heart rate higher. Potassium level down. I'm stopping this medicine. It makes me feel awful. I do not recommend.

Unable to function, confusion, flu like symtoms. you now have rls in your intire body. This drug is not for rls. It did nothing to help only made rls symtoms worse,.I took the extended release. What a mistake. It takes a long time to leave you system.

Severe Rage. Patients need to be more informed of this dangerous side effect. I didn't know what was happening to me. I am normally a gentle calm person but on clomid I lost my mind and in a fit of rage busted all the Windows out of my house and then cried for 3 hrs. Never again will I take this medicine and I will warn others of the dangers.

The dreams are VERY vivid, but not scary in that sense. I also found if I did not take my medicine for a few days (which is NOT recommened) I would feel a little light headed. Otherwise it was great.

I did not have a good experience with Lexapro. I was put on Lexapro after a nervous breakdown. I suffer from severe anxiety and mild depression. In the beginning I experienced severe lethargy as most do. This went away after two weeks, but I was still tired all the time and found myself having to take naps regularly. I also began to experience RLS and insomnia at night which led to my having to take naps during the day. I started having hot flashes and then cold flashes, regularly almost as if I had a flu. I found that my anxiety was exacerbated. I felt like I was on the verge of a panic attack everyday for two weeks. This led to me feeling more depressed than usual. At this point I felt that I would be better off without the meds and treated my anxiety through therapy. I've finally weaned off tge meds and have been off for 4 days. The lethargy continues but the RLS has gone away and I am sleeping better. As a side effect of weaning off of the meds i am experiencing brain zaps and dizziness. It feels like I'm being electrocuted. Sometines it's just in the head area but sometimes it runs all the way through my body to my feet. The side effects are mild though since I was only on Lexapro for a little over a month. Must say that I am glad to be off of them.

Haven't had a period about 3 years

I could feel that something was not right about 4 days into the medicine. My emotions completely went out of whack.. I could cry at the drop of hat, which I did.. I freaked out on family and friends, before I threw the pills away.. will never take it again.. would rather quit smoking on my own

irritability, sadness, depression, memory loss, lethargy, fatigue, quick to anger,

It does help my attacks though. I still have a few now in then, but nothing like I did before.
