Side Effects for Ketoconazole (ketoconazole)

Headache, nausea, if bad enough leads to vomitting

This drug WILL give you headache, artery aches (like in the neck) and nausea. Its better to deal with it if you can lie down, but that menas you have to be in bed all day for as long as you take it.I tried a better way of working with the side effects, which was to take Ibuprofen for the headaches and that does stop them! Also, I take a very small dose of (less-drowsy formula) dramamine a few minutes before taking the dose, and I also can avoid the nausea. I would rather continue with this drug because it is the only thing I can do to tame my overactive adrenals. That condition bothers me more than this drug does, so I dont mind having to take a few steps to fix my adrenal overactivity.I have only been on this a few days I will come back to post if anything else shows up.

Horrible stomach pain and nausea

I stopped this after 3 days because the side effects were getting worse. I will never take this again.

KETOCONAZOLE (KETOCONAZOLE): This medication is used to control dandruff. Use of this medication may help to relieve the flaking, scaling and itching associated with dandruff. Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus. Ketoconazole 2% shampoo is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs. UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT IS GOING TO KILL YOU IMMEDIATLEY DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. READ ALL THE INFORMATION FIRST AND MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION! WHEN YOU LOOK INTO THE MIRROR ON DAY TWO AND SEE YOURSELF AS MEDUSA WITH SNAKES COMING OUT OF YOUR HEAD, THAT SHOULD BE A SIGN TO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!

Bone pain, joint pain, dizziness, blurry vision, excessive vaginal bleeding, and collapsing. I was a healthy 24 year old woman trying it for endometriosis. It crippled me in two weeks. This drug was terrible and I have nothing nice to say about it.

I have tried two different kinds and I am now taking the 10 mg amphetamine salts??? Not sure why these are so different and why they make me feel so off but. In the past two days I've taken 30mg I weigh 98 lbs how long until this is flushed. I'm drinking plenty of water. I haven't taken anything in about 5 hours.

anxious, jittery when i have even a small amount of caffeine, had to take it early in the morning otherwise it is very hard to fall asleep. Weight loss

Severe PMS and menopausal anxiety

NO ONE EVER EXPLAINED ANY SIDE AFFECTS OF THIS DRUG TO ME, BECAUSE IF THEY HAD TOLD ME THAT WEIGHT GAIN WAS ONE...I'D TAKEN MY CHANCES...I'VE WORKED ALL MY LIFE TO KEEP/GET MY WEIGHT DOWN AND NOW I'M HEAVIER THAN WHEN PREGNANT THE LAST TIME IN JUST 2 MOS TIME! FOR ME, THE WEIGHT GAIN IS FAR MORE SERIOUS THAN THE THREAT OF A BLOOD CLOT THAT MAY NOT HAPPEN...NOW MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS ELEVATED WHICH THROWS IN ALL THOSE RISKS..CAN'T MOVE THAT GOOD DUE TO THE FRACTURE..SO NOW I MUST STARVE MYSELF TO JUST MAINTAIN THIS FAT BODY I'M LEFT WITH AND MY GLUCOSE IS UP TOO DUE TO THE WEIGHT GAIN..ADDED WEIGHT NO MATTER HOW YOU SLICE IT..IS NOT GOOD..SURELY DOCS CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS???

flushing, burning face, arms, legs, the white of my eyes blood red. Swollen face, neck, hands and legs. Shortness of breath

Lamictal has been part of a really functional coctail for me: Lamictal: 100 mg, Lithobid: 600 mg, Zonegran: 50 mg, and Concerta 36 mg for ADD/depression. I am emotionally stable, but I don't think I'm an emotional drone. It's help eased some of my anxiety; and I'm no longer labile like I used to be. It took a long time for my body to adjust to it, though. I'm actually surprised I stuck in there so long.

Given it twice, different occasions, in hospital without knowing what it was. Immediately a horrible sense of anxiety and "coming out of skin" feeling. Hard to describe. Benadryl given, doctor said some people are 'allergic' to it. Weeks later still having sense of crawlies and 'fragile' emotions; like I'm on edge of losing it.
