Have not had another bone density test to see if the drug has helped. Took Fosamax and Actenol before with awful side effects.
This med sucks. I already had loss of appetite and it made it worse. Loss of hair.
I find it disgusting that the drug should cost me $118.00 a month for 30 pills and think there should be a law in overcharging!

When I don't take them I get ratty & always seem to get diarrhoea, I go normal when taking them but my body use of opiates as I was on dihydrocodiene from being 22yrs old. My body in pain every day even with the MST.
I would not give this to him again.
Hysterectomy 5/2005 due to endometriosis; used Climara patch for 4 months until noticed significant hair loss and painful leg cramps. Tried a compounding pharmacy using lotions but felt miserable-night sweats/couldn't sleep. Had to go back to Climara-night sweats are gone but leg cramps started within 2 days. Anyone else have leg cramps? Can you take anything to ease that side effect b/c I need to stay on it.
If you are reading this and not feeling well while taking this drug, stop it immediately. I was totally healthy except for my gastritis. My doctor described these pills to me 5 weeks ago. It was ok in the beginning and helped with my gastritis. But the price that i paid for this is not worth it. After 4 days of taking this drug, i got very tired. The next day, i also got dizzy. I thought it would be the stress at work. After 2 more days i hot bad headaches. I went to my doctor, who told me it could never be the side effects of Protonix, I should drink more. After a week I saw that doctor again, because I had gotten anxiety and nerve pain also.He again told me it would not be the Potronix and I should take a blood test. Came back I am healthy. But the symptoms were still the same.I thought I would die, could not go to work anymore.I did an MRI and my organ values were checked, all with good results again. I didn't know what to do next, I felt worse and worse. then i came across recessions on the internet and thought to myself, it all started shortly after taking it, i have to try to find out whether it is not due to the tablets. i stopped taking the pills without my doctor. after 1 week the symptoms got a little better, but now after 2 weeks it is still bad. Today I never went to the doctor who told me again that Potronix had no side effects. I would have loved to punch him down. the doctors are in cahoots with the pharmaceutical
