Gyne-lotrimin 3 (clotrimazole) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Gyne-lotrimin 3 (clotrimazole)

Works better than Monistat and doesn't give me the headache like Monistat does. The first dose increases burning slightly.

HORRIBLE, DOESN'T WORK, INCREASES BURNING AND ITCHINESS

Intense itching burning on application, then hives and very red inflamed skin inside vagina and on vulva.

I used this cream as a teenager but obviously have developed an intense allergy to it for some reason. I had to have a long bath to wash out the product but in 24 hours the allergic reaction had subsided. When I wasn't allergic to it it worked ok.

Burning, redness, swelling, irritation. This is worse than the yeast infection.

Never again...I'll stick with Monistat or store brand.

This product consistently works well for me and doesn't cause the HORRIBLE burning sensation that I get from the competitor brand "Monistat."

GYNE-LOTRIMIN 3 (CLOTRIMAZOLE): Clotrimazole is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs. Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

nothing major: dry mouth; slight metallic taste; occasional very brief waves of nausea

Unsure if side effects are from the medicine or the illness

Trying to get off, because body wants more and I am scared because I get nauseated, anxious ....if I don't take it. Did work! But hell to pay now.

nausea on the first day....that was it

I blacked out in the shower after one pill at 10 mg. Woke up to muscle weakness, shakiness, extreme vertigo and nausea.

Took 10mg of MTX for 3 and a half years, lately told to stop immediately by rheumatoligist as my liver was having very serious problems due to MTX, let alone the rest of me, I felt so ill for the duration of being on this horrible chemotherapy drug..

I am back on Effexor after a month of trying Pristiq. For some reason, the Effexor works better for me. I don't think it has fully kicked in yet, but I feel better. It is true that this stuff helps you take things more lightly. I might try a combo of it with Wellbutrin, for the sake of motivation

I have had difficulty controlling blood pressure for years taking sometimes up to four classes of drugs - diuretic, ACE inhibitor or ARB, beta blocker and calcium channel blocker. Cardura, far and away, reduces my blood pressure more than any other drug. 4 mg taken at night does the trick.

I read the comments before I took this and I took a chance. From the beginning I had felt light-headed and dizzy, but stayed with it. In the past 2 months since taking it, my boyfriend has been hit with the worst mood swings ever! I'm surprised he's lasted through this. I'm very irritable and on edge. The weight gain has probably been the worst. I have never gained this much weight so fast (except when i was pregnant)and been unable to get rid of it (i've always been small.) I have already called my doctor to get me on something else. I am done with this pill.

I took it when I was I think in 5th grade. At first it seemed to help, then it started having the opposite affect. I started crying more frequently and at one point almost committed suicide, then my sister walked into the room and I didn't do anything, which is why I am still alive today. Now I am on a different medicine that I think is helping me more. But like most medications, they have different affects on different people.
