Severe dry mouth (I take the 1 mg capsules, usually my dose is 2 but it depends on the temperaute and what I'm doing), sore throat, dry eyes, hard to breathe if I take it at night, and dry hands that swell in the heat if I walk and have them swinging at my sides.
I wasn't sure whether to rate this 3 or 4 and finally decided on four. It's a good medicine if you are able to hydrate yourself (drink fluids) daily so your throat and mouth stay nice and moist and your voice doesn't get all scratchy or crack. I guess it doesn't help that I have bad anxiety issues, so the fact that this messes with my voice brings a lot of negativity my way. Also, I do sweat an awful lot, mostly my back and under my arms (fixed most of that with Botox injections) so I have to take a high dose for it to work the way I want it to.

Cancer drug arimidex gave me osteoporosis
The worst side effect is the bloating. It also makes my face flush because of my rosacea. It may be altering my moods but I also take Wellbutrin so it's hard to know what's causing what.
I got so bloated on this pill that my mother actually asked me if I was pregnant which I'm not. I started taking Ovcon-50 because i had breakthrough bleeding on Yaz after taking it for a year(I've been taking birth control pills for health reasons for years and yaz is the only pill that I've taken and haven't gained weight). When I drank excessive amounts of water and cranberry juice as diuretics it actually got worse. And bloating was not the only side effect. My doctor lowered my dosage to Ovcon-35 because he thinks it might be the dosage. I've been taking the lower dosage for about a week now and there has not been any change yet. If I don't see some improvement soon I'm calling my doctor again.
My anxiety got worse, it went from 2.5 to like3.75 (1-10, 10 being worst). (That extra anxiety caused me more stress and was unable to sit down and enjoy anything not even read a book and it caused me more sleeping issues(due to added anxiety) It felt like I had to keep moving and couldn't sit still. It also worsened my tinnitus, I believe because of the increased anxiety. Not taking any more. I'd rather live with higher blood pressure. Will try to find something that works without the added anxiety. My doctor didn't want to be bothered in finding something better, I changed doctors. I also tried Atenolol and that was worst on anxiety and insomnia! JL
We were advised to give my son 1/2 cap every day for long term. In seven weeks my son experienced 3 seizures that I witnessed myself, possibility more just not witnessed (blank stare, unable to answer, trembling hands lasting 10-15 mins) EEG ruled out any underlying issues. The scariest episode was seconds after he came out of his silent seizure he started screaming mommy mommy with knees pulled into chest crying hysterically, rubbing his eyes profusely like they were burning for 10 mins straight. It went quiet in the car and he was pale with his eyes closed, I called his name over and over, open ure eyes, don't fall asleep, open ure eyes!!! We pulled in the driveway and he came to started crying and screaming "carry me, carry me!" I brought him inside and he started feeling better. I thought my baby was going to die right before my eyes. This has to be pulled off the market!!!!
In the 5 months that I have been on this pill, I have missed my period 4 times. Each time I miss it I test to see if I am pregnant and have always recieved a negative result. I think I would much rather have my period than wonder if I am pregnant each month!
Stomach discomfort, spacey feeling like I was stoned, decreased appetite, dialated pupils, chapped lips/dry mouth, hyper yet exhausted, couldn't orgasm, mild anxiety.
