FURADANTIN (NITROFURANTOIN): Nitrofurantoin is an antibiotic used to treat or prevent certain bladder infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. This medication should not be used in infants younger than 1 month old (see also Precautions section). Initially dry mouth, depressed, extreme fatigue, watery diarrhea, stomach pain. THEN: numbness in hands/ feet, confusion, slurred speech, spacy, unsteadiness, falls x 4, a kind of stomping feet, leaning forward kind of walk.
After only two days I experienced pain in both my legs, shoulder, neck, and arms, pins and needles sensation in legs and even back, very hostile.
This needs to be removed from the market.

the withdrawal from this medication is horrible, i cut my dosage by half and after 12 days the effects get worse, you feel like a zombie, tongue zaps, brain zaps, nausea, loss of concentration, tired, not caring about anything, can't cope
I started taking 100mg and began having very bad (throbbing) muscle pains in my right leg. I also started having pains, although not as often, in my arms too. The Doc took me off of Toprol XL and now I'm on Verapamil......and still having muscle pain. Each time I began taking the medicine the pain would start in just a couple days. At one time I just stopped taking Toprol XL for about 6 months......the muscle pain went away.
One occurence of minor facial flushing during the daytime after about 3 days of taking a 500mg dose before bedtime. Flushing lasted about 20 minutes. The only other side effect I have noticed is the tendency for the skin on my neck to be slightly red and irritated at times. Moisturizing lotion helps.
I began taking tri-cyclen to help with my extremely irregular, painful periods. I was on alesse a couple years ago but stopped taking it due to constant spotting. this time around my doctor put me on tri-cyclen instead. my mild acne has improved and my severe cramps do not last as long. i began feeling extreme nausea at random points in the day, almost every day. i've also found that my anxiety has worsened since beginning this pill. i find myself worrying heavily about trivial things, but being totally apathetic towards more important issues. i also began having terrible mood swings and getting very angry at loved ones for no reason at all. until i found this site, i haven't been able to piece together the side effects and now realize it must be due to the tri-cyclen.
Please take all side effect complaints seriously.
I was rushed to hospital and i though i was going to die. very scary experience. several days later i had a ct scan as dr thought i may have suffered mild stroke. That was 3 weeks ago and i still don't feel right with breathing and weakness down left side.
