Fortesta (testosterone) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Fortesta (testosterone)

progressively worse dermititis (rash, itching, redness) of application area. Terrible skin reaction.

Was forced from the Compounded Test which worked great by my insurance carrier. They made me use this because it was on their formulary. Not only did I end up with a terrbile skin reaction at the application site, but also felt my old symptoms of low T coming back. Tiredness during the day, lack of stamina, loss of sexual interest, and mild to moderate ED returned. Went off T completely against Dr advise for 5 weeks then decided to pay for my compounded T out of my pocket. Androgel and compounded (cheaper) worked for me, but am considering going back to the injections which were the most effective.

None, but slight anxiety for few hours if use is more that recommended as a build up over weeks. Must test levels approx 6-8wk intervals & adjust accordingly.

Expensive, but manufacturer has discount program for first 23 mos. Takes longer to dry on application then instructions say, need extra 15mins each AM.

Severe contact dermatitis. Pain, swelling, itching.

This product did raise serum testosterone. But after approximately 3 months of use, it produced a sudden skin reaction over the course of two days. At the application site, I had severe swelling, redness, and itching. Anyone can react badly to a product. But the suddeness of this reaction was a little weird. I think I'll try shots instead.

FORTESTA (TESTOSTERONE): This medicated gel contains testosterone. It is used for hormone replacement in men who are not able to produce enough testosterone (hypogonadism). This medication is absorbed through the skin, enters your bloodstream, and helps your body reach normal testosterone levels. Testosterone helps the body to develop and maintain the male sexual characteristics (masculinity), such as a deep voice and body hair. It also helps to maintain muscle and prevent bone loss, and is necessary for natural sexual ability/desire. This drug should not be used by women. My blood pressure rose more than 10 points after taking the first Lexapro 10 mg. My normal BP is about 110/70, it rose to 134/88. I cut down to 5 mg, and my blood pressure stayed at about 124/84 until about 4 days after stopping. It is now back to 112/72.

I experience nausea on a pretty regular basis. I have tried waiting an hour to eat, and eating within 10-15 minutes, and have the same nausea no matter the time waiting. I HAVE lost about 15 pounds since beginning Byetta. Lately, the nausea has led to vomiting 1-2 times a week when it is severe. I have noticed extreme chills after taking my Byetta too, especially with the evening meal. I usually have to take a hot bath in order to get warmed up. Now that I think about it, it is usually these severe chilled episodes that lead to the extreme nausea and vomiting. Has anyone else experienced this side effect? I am also taking Metformin 1000 mg twice a day.

Singulair caused a noticeable change in my 2 year old son’s behavior in the last 2 months. He started waking up in the middle of the night screaming because of night terrors. Each day, he got a little worse. Defiant, hateful, destructive, etc. He also started biting his fingernails and obsessing over little things, like the strings hanging off of his blanket. He still isn't talking much, so he can't tell me what is going on. His doctor did not know what to think. I even took him to the ER once, and they couldn’t find anything wrong.I knew that this was completely out of character for him. Something had to be causing it. We decided to take him off Singulair after double checking the side effects on the pamphlet that came with his prescription. Two weeks after stopping the medicine, the change was amazing. He is back to my great little boy. I am sooooo glad that we discovered this after only a few months. I cannot imagine living like that for years.

Have been taking Benadryl off and on since 1989 for allergy symptoms which often turn severe and bring on a lot of congestion. Nowadays, I take Benadryl for the most severe allergy attacks since it's the only medicine that works for me during these times. Like everyone else, it usually puts me to sleep right away, so I don't like to take it that often. Whenever I take this medicine, it makes me very hungry.....

Mainly gas and lower body muscle cramps. Stomach churning when not eaten with food.
