Side Effects for Dysport (abobotulinumtoxina)

Dizzy, headache, joint pain, unable to focus, fatigue, sore throat, hoarse voice, dry eyes, sinus issues, weakness, anxiety

With 60 units into my glabbelar lines, the side effect are manageable but this time I got 90 and it was awful. I got the shot Thursday and felt fine, tired but slept well. Felt anxious on Friday and the whole flu like state began Saturday. Needless to say, my weekend was ruined. It affects everyone differently but I guess no more for me.

anxiety--it took me awhile to figure out this is what caused it. At first it was slight, and I dismissed it as being related to stressful situation. But when the situation was over, the anxiety was still there. Wake up with it, go to sleep with it. Drinking alcohol helps somewhat, but One drink with a meal in the evening is my max., so that is not the solution. All day every day I feel like my heart is racing,I am scared of what? Also headache, sinus pain, and gasping, wheezy feeling in chest.

You have to dig for the info, but these are all documented side effects of dysport. The Dr.s love to say there's no way it can have a systemic effect. Well, guess what? They said that about nasal steroids, too! I hope it wears off soon. I'd rather look wrinkled than feel anxious and jittery and headachy constantly. I feel about ready to jump out of my skin.

DYSPORT (abobotulinumtoxinA): There are different types of botulinum toxin products (toxin A and B) with different uses (eye problems, muscle stiffness/spasms, migraines, cosmetic, overactive bladder). Different brands of this medication deliver different amounts of medication. Your doctor will choose the correct product for you. Botulinum toxin is used to treat certain eye disorders such as crossed eyes (strabismus) and uncontrolled blinking (blepharospasm), to treat muscle stiffness/spasms or movement disorders (such as cervical dystonia, torticollis), and to reduce the cosmetic appearance of wrinkles. It is also used to prevent headaches in people with very frequent migraines. Botulinum toxin relaxes muscle by blocking the release of a chemical called acetylcholine. Botulinum toxin is also used to treat overactive bladder by patients who do not respond to or who cannot tolerate the side effects of other medications. It helps to reduce leaking of urine, feeling of needing to urinate right away, and frequent trips to the bathroom. It is also used to treat severe underarm sweating and drooling/excess saliva. Botulinum toxin works by blocking the chemicals that turn on the sweat and salivary glands. Botulinum toxin is not a cure, and your symptoms will gradually return as the medication wears off. While taking Paxil I experienced weight gain, loss of ambition and enthusiasm, tremors/shaky hands, loss of sex drive, much constipation, and joint pain. My stomach has never been right and my bowel movements only occur in extremes, terrible constipation or hours of diarrhea. Sleep patterns became a horrific cycle of being unable to fall asleep at bedtime coupled with an insatiable need to sleep for 10-13 hours per day. You can imagine how disruptive it could be to lie in bed until 4 or 5 a.m. trying to fall asleep then feeling as though getting only 9-10 hours of sleep leaving you feeling drained and in an up-but-not-awake physical state. Scary as all this sounds, these issues pale in comparison to the nightmare of cessation from Paxil use. Just like most here have reported, I've been experiencing a maddening throbbing in my ears and am an emotional wreck. As a 35 year old male with only a mild state of depression I can't even remember the last time I cried about something until I quit taking Paxil. I cried on the 9/11 anniversary at least a dozen times, I cried when Johnny Unitas died, I cry when I listen to music, I cry, I cry, I cry. Do yourself a favor, stand your ground with your healthcare provider and REFUSE to take this medication. Zoloft worked much beteer without all the scary side effects. Unlike some of the other folks here, I never experienced the bad dreams or jaw clenching.

Great energy, getting up early. Have not had any side effects at all and hope I start feeling something sometime. I am taking the wellbutrin XL 150 mg. once a day. Still smoking the same amount but not enjoying them as much.

This definitely helped with my anxiety - it felt like the voices of constant worry about all the different things I had to worry about were gone. I was able to focus on one thing at a time, deal with it, and move on. However, I was still having physical manifestations of anxiety (racing heart, etc.) and migraines so my docs kept increasing the dose. At higher doses, I was exhausted all the time with no change in therapeutic effects. Finally gave up on it, coming down off of it was very very unpleasant. Lots of anxiety and anger. Wish I could have stayed at the low dose and added something else.

Good thing I found this site. I am not into taking drugs as a cure all and it took me a couple of days after reading the warnings on the label to add it all together as this was not something I had experienced before. Take Evista and Caltrate as well. If one is in one's fifties and having these side effects I would not recommend.

I developed an infection after having a womb biopsy with severe pains to the left in Ovary & Ovary tube. I have been taking this tablet along with Doxycycline tablets (2 x pr day), although the course of the Doxycycline tablets finished yesterday. The side affect of this tablet is that it has given me the most severe Headaches, which are there in the morning & build up over the day. By the afternoon I am taking Tramadol to cope with the pain in my head, as normal pain killers are just not touching this pain...I can't stand cooking smells (Bacon especially) as this makes me feel sick, and nausea. Two days ago the pain in my head was so bad that I was unable to get dressed until 1pm in the afternoon and spent the day feeling lethargic, which I have felt for most of the week, also sweaty. The tablets have helped with the awful pelvic pains though - and I am hoping have helped cure them. I have two tablets left, and I have made the decision not to take them, as I cant cope wi

I have since found out I know a coworker and a close relative who also had bad experiences with Versed. One suggested that I post here.
