Doxy 100 (doxycycline hyclate) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Doxy 100 (doxycycline hyclate)

No side effects while taking it but I am not sensitive to drugs and have a strong stomach. I did develop a yeast infection after I finished the 10 day course. I took probiotics and it went away.

I was so grateful that it worked fast and stopped the endless coughing within 2 days!

I suggest taking this medication with lots of water. At least a glass and half. It's best to take it with dinner, although it says to take it on an empty stomach. PLEASE DON'T! I tried this med years ago for 3 days and it felt as if I had pill stuck in my throat. I've read many stories of people developing golf ball size lumps in their throats. That's why I suggest tons of water and please do not lay down for at least 2-3 hours afterward. I do notice a difference in my skin and the nausea I felt was gone after 3 days.

I found that this medication made me quite anxious. I would wake up at 4:00 am every morning while taking this medications and then once I stopped, I slept fine. I also found that if I didn't take this with a large glass of water or if I lay down after taking the medication, I would have an upset stomach. Although it did clear up my sinus infection, there is no reason to sleep only a few hours each night when there are other antibiotics available with less severe side effects.

I would throw up in the morning when I was on this medication almot like morning sickness

Did not experience side effects.Medicine was relatively cheap, and start clearing the infection within two days.

Insane levels of anxiety, 2 full panic attacks, restless sore legs, tender sore swollen toes, head aches that felt like high blood pressure effecting the temple area, fatigue and dizzyness.

I TOOK CIPRO FOR SEVEN DAY 1000MG/DAY FOR A UTI. THIS PAST WEEKEND MY KNEES, LEGS AND HEELS STARTED HURTING AND NOTHING I TOOK WOULD HELP THE PAIN. THE PAIN WAS SO GREAT THAT I HAVE HARDLEY BEEN ABLE TO WALK. I FINALLY CALL THE PHARMACY AND QUESTIONED "COULD THE CIPRO BE CAUSING MY KNEE AND LEG PAIN?" I WAS TOLD YES. I TOOK MY LAST PILL ON MONDAY AND STILL TODAY, FRIDAY, I AM IN ALOT OF PAIN. I HAD NO IDEA THAT CIPRO WOULD CAUSE SUCH A REACTION. NEEDLESS TO SAY MY UTI IS BETTER, BUT AT WHAT COST. I AM ON MY FEET ALL DAY AND THE PAIN HAS BEEN UNBEARABLE. I WILL NOT TAKE CIPRO AGAIN.

I agree with the guy who said let's have doctors who say this is safe take this stuff. This is an evil drug. Only a moron would say this is drug is safe to use except in a severe emergency, only a complete and utter immoral moron.

sleepiness, decreased libido, difficulty reaching orgasm

I was only taking Elavil for a few weeks, and I hated the side effects. I liked how it helped me to sleep solidly and it did seem to help my hand pain, but it wasn't worth putting up with the side effects. I felt like a zombie at work everyday (I would take the Elavil before bed) and when I got home all I wanted to do was get in bed to take a nap. So I was wasting my life away taking naps. The drowsiness didn't go away even after my doctor suggested that I lower my dosage to 1/2 a tablet. Also, the gross chemical taste it would leave in the back of my mouth would stay there all day long and give me rancid breath that would make my husband wince when he'd kiss or get close to me. But by far my main reason for quitting Elavil totally was it would make me get angry, annoyed, or upset all the sudden for no reason. Being a woman who has to deal with the usual couple days of PMS every month, I didn't want added edgyness in my life. See-ya-later Elavil. I wouldn't recommend it.

Had a Lupron shot couldn't sleep.

Major Depression,PTSD, anxiety

I am not sure if taking this drug is worth it. The side effects especially the mood swings are harsh. The intense pain that I felt before has subsided but has been replaced with sleepless nights and days filled with depression. I feel as though I am 24 going on 60. What worries me is that who knows if the shot is even helping, it just seems to be prolonging the inevitable, a hysterectomy. I just count my blessings that I somehow carried my baby to term.

It has worked great for a life time of depression and anxiety.

First few days of taking remeron I slept around the clock. Experienced a brief lift in mood with periods of energy (manic episodes), but overall, mood has not lifted. Have experienced involuntary leg movements and blurred vision. I'm constantly craving salt and chocolate. This was so intense especially during menstration. I experienced
