Side Effects for Divigel (estradiol)

DIVIGEL (ESTRADIOL): This medication is a female hormone (estrogen). It is absorbed through the skin and enters into the bloodstream. It is used by women to help reduce a certain symptom of menopause (hot flashes). Symptoms of menopause are caused by the body making less estrogen. If you are using estrogens to treat only vaginal symptoms of menopause (such as vaginal dryness/burning/itching), products applied directly inside the vagina should be considered before medications that are taken by mouth, absorbed through the skin, or injected. I shouldn’t have stayed on this for as long as I have. I’ve tried everything to lower my readings which were always perfect on Lantus. Basaglar is a garbage. -T1 for 54 yrs.

Buying a test tonight just to be sure... :-)

Severe leg pain and weakness, muscle cramps in legs, feet, arms, ribs, face.

I have been on it for several years (about 6 years). The last two years I've had acid reflux problems, and have been taking Nexium when necessary. The last few weeks, even Nexium doesn't work completely. I was interested to read the other posts, and have some other symptoms which I attributed to aging - sore knees, muscle cramps, and severe itching on feet. I will be doing my own little test and stoping the Fosamax for a couple of weeks before I see my doctor.

I've always had mild anxiety but it has intensified under stress beyond belief. When I first started taking it I didn't experience issues that were noteworthy but eventually my 10 day dose stopped assisting with my menstruation so it was as if I was taking it for nothing. I experienced a rash, night terrors that consist of very simple matters, panic attacks which came from no where, extreme drowsiness and, feelings of hopelessness and dread. I'll be following up with my doctor. This is not the medication for me.

Experiencing dizziness, fatigue, and short of breath. No seizures.

It increased my weight almost immediately and I gained weight, but my menstruation cycle was disrupted

Please consider that all medication effects EVERYONE differently. I have been taking TRINESSA for 6 months and have had NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! I actually had slight hormonal breakouts previous to taking TRINESSA, and my skin is now clear as ever! I was VERY hesitant to begin taking it after reading all of the posts on here and other websites, and almost just asked my Dr to prescribe another, but I am glad I did not. NO ONE, actually, VERY FEW individuals are going to get on the web and type up positive feedback about a product...MANY will consider complaining and sharing their "Horror story" of their experience with the medication...Read the info that comes with the meds and all side effects are listed...which is a warning because, yes, they are aware these are possibilities that may occur to YOU...but NOT EVERYONE! People are over exxagerent in their complaints. The package lists these precautions for a reason. Look at a bottle of ADVIL, PEPTO BISMAL, BENADRYL, GUM, TOOT

Apparently the side effects are hitting me bad, I know lots of people who have used it successfully with no problems, when I get the bad moods, depressing thoughts etc I remember that they are just side effects and that if I hold on just a while longer I will remain ciggie free. It does make it easier, I also allot myself a bottle of water and a small amount of food I must eat / drink during the day, otherwise I still forget.Hard slog but to be honest, if I keep telling myself and reading the bits of paper I have put around me that "It is just the pills doing it to you" then a reality check kicks in and I'm right for a while longer.

My total cholesterol level was lowered by 117 points. This pill was the only change I made to my diet/exercise routine.
