It's wonderful. The first couple times I took a full pill, but then started taking only half. This decreased my sleepiness slightly but still took all the motion sickness away.
It works very well for me, but unfortunately can cause severe drowsiness and lethargy.
a.k.a. Gravol - I take it daily for my intracranial hypotension headaches, and was also recommended to take it for hydrocephalus-related headaches. I have not found anything in the online literature regarding why it is successful for some people with hydrocephalus, when other analgesics, including opiates, may not work. It works very well for me, but unfortunately can cause severe drowsiness and lethargy.
DIMENHYDRINATE (DIMENHYDRINATE): Dimenhydrinate is an antihistamine used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting and dizziness caused by motion sickness when medication cannot be given by mouth. I also take suboxone and the 2 meds are contraindicated. Plus, I was able to discontinue Tegretol (thank God) when I underwent invasive brain surgery (microvascular decompression) on 5/16/17 for Trigeminal Neuralgia.Bottom line is that I'm torn on this drug. **ONLY** when I combined Tegretol with Neurontin (gabapentin), was I able to experience pain-relief....but, it was only temporary. And I am not alone: most TN sufferers get relief from Tegretol, but very disappointingly, it doesn't last long 😓 Which is was leads us to consider MVD (brain surgery).
This drug helped me a lot. It also curbed my desire for drinking wine every night, which was becoming a problem for me. That may also be a reason for the weight loss. I lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks. I used to binge eat, and now I have to remind myself to eat, and only get hungry maybe once a day. My moods are much more stable, and I am so much happier. I take 50 mg twice a day. I also had severe insomnia, so my psychiatrist gave me trazodone 50 mg to take at bedtime and I sleep like a baby. It is my perfect cocktail.
I took this drug for 10 days and it still didn't cure my sinus infection. After another day and half on the drug during a second round (prescribed for another 10 days), I then knew my symptoms were from the drug, not the sinus infection and I stopped taking it. I still have anxiety.

I do workout and eatright, veggie, no booze but look like I must drink a case a night! Glad I found this place and sorry to see so many in thesame shitty boat! Hope to get off this nightmare ASAP!
After taking Requip I was like a zombie,so drugged feeling. Go to sleep while talking, did not help my legs.I'd just have to go to bed,couldn't function.
Did not know others were having what I am experiencing..weight gain, memory loss. My pain is just as bad as the beginning of taking 75m/2x a day. Do not sleep, pain still wakes me up. I hope one day there will be some drug to help with the extreme pain associated with PN. Lyrica has not been helpful to me, has only added side affects that I did not realize were side affects until reading this website.
