Side Effects for Digoxin (digoxin)

PERICARDITIS and ATRIAL FLUTTER

1) SEVERE PAIN IN BREASTS! as a male it was bizarre to have a double MAMMOGRAPHY, plus double ULTRASOUND to try to find the cause. Within 24hours of stopping DIGOXIN the pain subsided!ALSO: experienced uneven heart rate and felt like I was rocking in a boat when standing and thought I would pass out! I finally stayed in bed and curled in a fetal position since I felt so bad and COULD DO NOTHING ... PLUS I URINATED OVER AND OVER up to 15 times per day. Sometimes I would return from the bathroom and as I sat down, I WOULD HAVE TO GO AGAIN!!!

For me, it was a horrible experience, because I was already so sick from Pericarditis ... and this drug made me feel even worse! I was so happy to get off of this medication .. because the side effects WENT AWAY when I stopped taking it!

I am taking this drug along with Metoprolol and they keep my heart rate down to a normal 70 or 80. My blood pressure is quite good, too. I feel that I could conceivably remain on these two medications for the rest of my life, except for my concern about taking dangerous medications in general.

lowered Hr FROM 100 to 70 and steady

DIGOXIN (DIGOXIN): Digoxin is used to treat heart failure, usually along with other medications. It is also used to treat certain types of irregular heartbeat (such as chronic atrial fibrillation). Treating heart failure may help maintain your ability to walk and exercise and may improve the strength of your heart. Treating an irregular heartbeat can decrease the risk for blood clots, an effect that may reduce your risk for a heart attack or stroke. Digoxin belongs to a class of medications called cardiac glycosides. It works by affecting certain minerals (sodium and potassium) inside heart cells. This reduces strain on the heart and helps it maintain a normal, steady, and strong heartbeat. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Felt high after infusions.Experienced mysterious night itching with no rash although this may've been from Azathioprine (doctors do not know).Seemed to trigger symptoms of Crohns disease or simply was ineffective.

I have tried many different BC methods & was hoping this would be the one to work for me...it was not. If you have tried many BC pills & experienced side effects like the ones I listed DO NOT take this pill. You most likely will have side effects on this one. I don't recommend it, but everyone has a different reaction. I had to go to the IUD because I just can't take hormones at all....

I would NEVER take or recommend Actonel. I paid for a 3 month supply and am going to throw them in the trash where they belong. This was my first horrible reaction to any medication.

Doctor replaced altace with diovan and this worked out much better for me.

I cancelled my infusion of relcast thanks to all of your comments. I was afraid of the side effects and of the duration of the effects. My doctor is telling me that there is a once a month pill that may fit my needs. I'm so happy I decided against the infusion. thank you

No-one should be given this drug. It is dangerous. To make matters worse none of the many Dr's I saw could connect the pain to the drug but kept giving me different pain medication which although strong could not stop the pain. Stop prescribing this horrible dangerous drug.

depression, anxiety & mild ADD

In my opinion corticosteroids are an incredibly dangerous drug that is passed off as "safe" by the medical establishment.

the brain zaps come in waves daily around the same time each day. I moved to taking it at night to hopefully sleep through the brain zaps, but sometimes I just have to power threw them. When missing a dose or two I sleep all day to avoid the side effects, it feels like your withdrawing from a different medication. My face was always the first to react after missing a dose, it would cause it to become super sensitive and irritated from the itchiness, as it progressively moved down my body and makes me feel inflamed. I do recommend keeping your best histamine meds close by if you take viibryd and know you are going to miss a dose.

Unless you cannot breathe- at all- I wouldn't recommend. Especially after reading the other comments here.
