Diclegis (doxylamine succinate; pyridoxine hydrochloride) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Diclegis (doxylamine succinate; pyridoxine hydrochloride)

Does not stop nausea and vomiting. Leaves you with a metallic taste in your mouth.

The major drowsiness lasted about 2 days. I am now able to take in the daytime and stay awake just fine. As for nausea and vomiting, Diclegis worked better than I expected!

Check equivalent OTC ingredients before you spend too much on a prescription of this. Same ingredients can be purchased separately over the counter.

DICLEGIS (DOXYLAMINE SUCCINATE; PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE): This combination medication (doxylamine with pyridoxine) is used to prevent or reduce nausea and vomiting caused by pregnancy. Decreasing nausea and vomiting may improve your health and nutrition during pregnancy. Doxylamine is an antihistamine that is thought to work by affecting certain natural substances (acetylcholine, serotonin) in your body or by acting directly on certain parts of the brain. Pyridoxine is a B vitamin that is important for good health. Most people get enough pyridoxine in their diet, but certain health conditions (e.g., pregnancy, poor diet, alcoholism) can result in a lack of this vitamin. First time on an antidepressant-feels good to smile and laugh again, but not sure if it's me. Doc started me at 150mgs and tommorow will get a scrpt for 300mgs. Hope that the sex drive will kick in sometime soon. Being patient is very difficult. Hope for the best though, and boyfriend is patient though sexually frustrated.Hope my jaw doesn't get worse with the 300mg dosage. Hurts to chew!!!!

I took one after my surgery as prescribed and within 30 minutes, I was throwing up. It was an absolutely horrible experience, and I will never take this medicine again. Most of the medicine is out of my system now thanks to vomiting, but I still feel woozy. My doctor suspended the medicine. I would never, never take this again.

Was prescribed actonel for post menopausal reduction of bone loss. I'm only 45 and hit menopause at age 40 for no known reason. I was taking Actonel and had not been aware of any obvious problems for about 9 months. Then I had been prescribed Prednisone for an autoimmune disorder. No one told me that Actonel and Prednisone individually could cause gastritis which is a very painful condition, but combine the two together and you end up VERY sick. Four months later, another round of prednisone due to a doctor thinking severe muscle spasms was linked to the autoimmune disorder. WRONG. 9 months later, I'm just beginning to get a reduction in spastic muscles across my traps, up the neck and into the skull. Very debillitating. Now I read on Reuters news service about the Actonel link to muscle aches. Makes me wonder if this was the problem all along. I discontinued the Actonel against my GYN's advice approx 4 months ago. Odd that I'm slowly improving with the giant muscle spasms that ha
