DEPO-SUBQ PROVERA 104 (MEDROXYPROGESTERONE ACETATE): This medication is used to prevent pregnancy. Medroxyprogesterone is like a natural hormone made by the body. It works mainly by preventing the growth and release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. Medroxyprogesterone is also used to treat endometriosis. It works by lowering the amount of certain hormones in the body and decreasing the growth of abnormal tissues that cause endometriosis. This helps reduce pain and other symptoms. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). I had the worst experience with tamiflu - my dr took me off it after explaining such horrible side effects. I wish I just stuck out the flu without the continuing effects after being off of tamiflu for over 2 days now.
None really. Trying to reduce amount from 1 pump per day to 1 pump three times a week. I am 66 years old and want to get off product. Hot flashes are controlled using it. When I do not use it regularly the hot flashes are not live able. I have them all day long, about every ten minutes, without the product.

i missed my periods for 4 months. i took provera 10mgx10day. got my period on the 3rd day after my last pill. The only thing is i had a very bad stomach during my periods.But am satisfied with this pill!!!
