DAYSEE (ETHINYL ESTRADIOL; LEVONORGESTREL): This combination hormone medication is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin (levonorgestrel) and an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol). It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, and also treat acne. When I have a plain Candida Albicans infection, this drug is like a miracle. Within 8 hours, I feel much better. But I was taking it to avoid a vaginal yeast infection because I was on antibiotics for 2 months. Well, it killed off all the Albicans yeast all right, but in doing so, it allowed other Diflucan-resistant yeast species to grow. Have you ever tried to get rid of Candida Krusei? You don't want to have to try! It took months and months of anti-fungals to get rid of that pest, because it's resistant to most ordinary anti-fungals. I searched in the medical literature, and found cancer and HIV doctors complaining about the same problem in systemic candida infections. The Diflucan kills off the Albicans species and that opens the door for other species to grow and flourish. So only use it if you have to, and if you know you have a Candida Albicans infection. You can avoid or minimize the diarrhea by taking 1/2 a pill and then the other 1/2 a pill an hour or so later.
becareful to take the meds they give you in psych wards so that they cannot force this hell on you....it can nuter you for long periods of time and make it impossible for you to enjoy life even for a second....you will avoid family and friends becaus you dont want to show them youve changed because of this poison....let the jansen pharm company ROT in hell for this horrible invention
WEIGHT GAIN! I went down to the lowest dosage possible, and I still couldn't get the weight off. I quit Premarin after two years and feel fine. Three weeks, a diet and some exercise, and I'm down twelve pounds.
depression, anxiety, 20 pound weight gain in a matter of two years (by the way i am a health freak and do excercise three times a week), severe acne, kidney stones, kidney problems, dehydration problems,and horrible migraines.
Went on it a few months back wore it for about 6 weeks started with heavy bleeding went off for 2 months still bad anxiety went back on for 8 days started with weakness and dizziness so took it off again just don't like it.
The first 2 weeks were hell. I threw up the first 2 nights and was having alot of trouble sleeping. My mind was racing, i was nauseous and unable to concentrate. I had the jitters and was very shaky all the time. I would sweat so badly at night my pillow was soaked and i had to get a towel. I began locking my jaw while i slept which caused migraines and alot of pain. My sex drive does not exist any more. Most of these symptoms went away accept the locked jaw lasted a few months, i still sweat at night but not as bad, and my sex drive is still dead. My new side effect is exhaustion. The last few months i have only ever wanted to sleep.
I have noticed bp going up to 132/91 pulse 106 the normal has always been 90/60 91 pulse. Second day after injection so exhausted. My feet pain is terrible and has not changed yet. Been on 4 meds I think this will be my last one. It's not about longevity of life it will be quality of life.
Heart pulpitations, poor circulation.
seems to help with dryness but have low leg problems while on it. Don't know for sure if it is the medicine or one of the others I am taking. Also taking it for UTI's that I get often
