My husband has been taking this for 5-6 weeks, and it seems to me his breathing has gotten worse, and he is not sleeping well, at all.
DALIRESP (ROFLUMILAST): Roflumilast is used to control and prevent symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by ongoing lung disease (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-COPD which includes bronchitis). It should be used along with other medications (bronchodilators such as salmeterol, ipratropium) to treat COPD. It works by reducing the irritation and swelling of the airways. Controlling symptoms of breathing problems can decrease time lost from work or school. This medication must be used regularly to be effective. It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden shortness of breath or wheezing. If sudden breathing problems occur, use your quick-relief inhaler (such as albuterol, also called salbutamol in some countries) as prescribed. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I had covid infection in Jan, and as expected had more severe side effects with first dose - covid symptoms of fatigue, joint pain, headache, and a very sore arm at the injection site. The symptoms lasted about 4 days, except the arm soreness which lasted a week. I had no symptoms with the second dose.
I was pretty sure that I had a UTI before arriving through the hospital after searching the internet about what could be wrong. I also had pretty harsh pain in my abdomen. After urine and blood samples and a long wait in the ER, the doctor diagnosed me with a UTI and kidney infection and prescribed me the Cipro.About an hour or so after the first dose I felt nausea. I was dry heaving although I had eaten. I figured I just hadn't eaten enough so I had another snack but the nausea never subsided. It's still day 5 and it hasn't. I jut figured that some antibiotics do this and that would be the worst of it. Wrong!I'm on day 5. For the past 4 days I have had constant abdominal and lower back pain. I find it difficult getting in and out of bed and standing up because my legs feel weak and stiff. The worst was yesterday afternoon. I was confused, slightly delirious, and VERY upset. I was depressed and feeling like I should just give up and stay sick because my pain is almost unbearable.This is ridiculous. I have been taking this medication for less than a week, so I can't imaging what it would be like if I kept swallowing these poison pills for another 5 days. I regret not finding this website before I began Cipro.Needless to say, the rest will be flushed and I am going to try a natural approach in curing my infection.
Had the same effects with cipro. Do not recommend either of these!
Although this agent initially took me out of an acute psychotic episode the side effects have been pronounced. The worst side effects seemed to occur after I had been on 5 mg/day for several months. I gained 25kg in weight and my cholesterol went from normal to 8.4. (I have also been taking Remeron for depression and this may have also exacerbated my weight gain). After several more months on this combo, I have noted the following disturbing symptoms: intention tremor/apraxia with handwriting, vertical twitching of facial muscles (esp. cheeks), dyslexic typing on keyboard, inability to focus on task at hand, difficulty getting out of bed (want to sleep in), tiredness, feelings of despair.

These are all among the SEVERE side effects of Triphasil. I do not regard these side effects as a coincidence because right before using Triphasil I barely use to experience headaches, a quick nap would energize me for the next few hours and I use to be able to focus on the task at hand. Three and a half months ago I was on Trigestrel and I did not experience any side effects. I only started using Triphasil because the nurse did not have any Trigestrel stock. I personally would not recommend Triphasil to anyone, but our bodies are all different and respond to medication differently, so you wont know unless you try it for yourself.
Knee pain and weakness so severe I cannot stand up from a seated position without help.
1 mg a day. This stuff is a miracle for me. I feel like the person that I always knew was somewhere inside has been able to come out.
